Annapurna Circuit trek is one of the classic route in the Nepal. Annapurna circuit is opened in 1977 for trekkers. Annapurna circuit is the best option when it comes to adventure and experiencing Himalaya region with Tibetan culture while trekking in Nepal. This trajectory takes you through diverse flora and fauna, beautiful river valleys, scenic cascades, cultural villages, high pass and picturesque mountains. This trek basically covers four districts of Nepal namely Lamjung, Manang, Mustang and Myagdi. Among these four districts Lamjung and Myagdi fall on lower elevation with Hindu cultural villages likewise, Manang and Mustang are located at the high elevation with Tibetan cultural villages. Hiking to Poon hill for fascinating sunrise view at backdrop of Fishtail (6,993 m) burning red by the rising sun is another additional feature of this trek. Annapurna circuit route is well facilities with lodges and tea houses.

Trail begins from 1,100 m normal altitude and rises 300 m- 500 m per day. We can see changes of landscape from lush forest and terraced farmland to more alpine to semi desert. Climbing world highest Thorong Pass (5,416 m) in the middle of the route is adventurous for trekkers. Sacred Muktinath temple welcomes you after difficulty of Thorong La Pass which is one of the holiest places for Hindus. World's deepest Kali Gandaki gorge lies between two highest mountains standing side by side, Annapurna I (8091 m) and Dhaulagiri (8156 m). This fascinating trekking destination rewards splendid view of the highest mountains such as Manaslu (8,156 m), Langtang Himalaya range, Annapurna I, II III IV, Gangapurna (7,455 m) and Dhaulagiri (8,167 m). 

This classic trek starts all the way from Beshisahar and goes counter clockwise direction until it reaches Nayapul. The trail passes through several villages of four districts. During the trek we pass Chame, Pisang, Manang, Muktinath, Jomsom and other several villages of Kaligandaki valleys. At the end of the trekking we will explore Pokhara; the beautiful city hugged by the nature around. Next, we drive back to Kathmandu.

More Information

Meals:
When you travel to the new place for your holiday, food is the most concerned part of travel. While, traveling with Yarsa treks, you can experience the delightful cuisine of typical Nepali food, continental food, Italian food, Chinese food and different international cuisines. You will be suggested by your guide for good food during your trip. During the trek do not order many dishes and waste food as they have to cater to more trekkers before they run off stock. It is very hard and takes a week or more for caravan and porters to bring the food in these places. You will take lunch in route side, breakfast and dinner will be arranged in the same lodge/Tea house.

Drinking Water:
During the trek you can get the bottled water but it is hard to dispose plastic and it will be the big problem for environment. We will provide purified mineral water during trek. In tea houses you can get bottled water and mineral water in additional cost. It will be better to drink mineral water rather than bottled water.

Accommodations:
We provide you best touristic hotel in Kathmandu/ Pokhara with best location. During the trek tea house is main accommodation for trekkers. A tea house is combination of lodge and restaurant. In the tea house lodges are fairly basic, in some tea houses you can get separate room but in the high altitude rooms are spared with two beds with blankets and little additional furniture.  There will be large dining room where you can get the warmth by Bukhara stove. In the tea houses there will be solar electricity but these days most of the tea houses have electricity for charging camera, mobile phones and other small appliances.

Things to take:
This is very active trip we can’t stay in same place. You can take very light and necessary things. You will get a porter who  will carry 30 kg which means 2 trekkers=1 porter. Porters are allowed to carry 30 kg of your stuff. Porters will carry your necessary stuff in a duffel bag.

Health & Fitness:
These treks are some of moderate and some of strenuous. Passionate trekkers should have ability to walk for 4-7 hours a day. Trekking to the high altitude is more challenging than the low altitude. To complete the trip we should have good health, average physical fitness, passion, confidence, determination and positive attitude. If you have past hiking experience or exercising habits it will be the better for your trek. If you have pre-existing health problems such as lungs, heart and other diseases, it is better to consult with your doctor or inform Yarsa treks before booking the trip.

Suitable Time to Trek:
For trekking to the high altitude we should concern about the weather condition. Autumn (Sept-Nov) and Spring (March-May) are the best seasons for trekking in Himalayas. Trekking in Summer and Monsoon (June-Aug) is affected by rain. You can also trek in winter but temperatures could be  harsher for most trekkers.

Important Notes:
If you’re confused to pack up your necessary things just see in the check list tab. Bring light and necessary things. You will need medium size bag to carry your daily usable stuff. The weather is subject to change in high altitude so layered clothing is recommended throughout the trek.

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1400 m).
Our representative will welcome you in the Tribhuwan  International Airport and take you to your hotel. After refresh you can visit around and overnight.

Day 02: Sightseeing and preparation for trek.
Today after breakfast we will take you to some touristic places in Kathmandu for sightseeing. After sightseeing we will drive back for the preparation of trekking. You will be brief about trekking by professional guide and rest overnight.

Day 03:Drive from Kathmandu to Besisahar (760 m).
Drive from Kathmandu to Besisahar (760 m) by local bus driving for approx. 6hrs.We drive you Kathmandu to Beshisahar (177 km). We go all the way to Beshisahar from the edge of Trishuli river which is very famous for rafting. After crossing the bridge of Trishuli river we turn west towards Dumre when we reach Dumre we turn north and fallow the Marshyandi river through Nadi valley untill we reach Besisahar. Rest overnight at Besisahar.

Day 04: Trek from Besisahar to Bahun Danda (1,310 m).
we are trekking for 5 hrs a day. We start our trail after short brief about route, cultural variation and safety. We trek 5hours to bahun danda which is in Lamjung district and the Gandhaki region. From here you can see beautiful view of green valley of Marsyandgi river, hilarious landscape, mountains and different cultural variation. Rest overnight at Bahun danda.

Day 05:Trek from Bahun Danda to Chamje (1,430 m).
Today our trail moves about 6hrs, after short brief about route and safety. Our trail moves to high ridge and quickly drop down to the flat path above the river to Syange valley, this valley is lined with terraces. We can see road other side of the river and cross the suspension bridge. We trek all the way up about an hour from here we can see beautiful view of river and the valley below.

Day 06:We Trek from Chamje to Dharapani (1,900 m).
Today we trek about 6 hrs. We cross suspension bridge and climb to the Tal village (where Gurung and Tibetan were settled). End of the valley above Tal we steeply rises and fall to Dharapani. We pass the village where Tibetan village, who migrated long time ago. On the way we can see different lifestyle, settlement and culture and we will be in Dharapani.

Day 07:Trek from Dharapani to Chame (2,600 m).
Today we trek about 5 hrs. After breakfast and short brief about route and safety our trails begins to climb in a high altitude and reach Bagarchap within an hour trek, following Dangyan Tibetan settlement trails enter to dense forest, crossing bridge over tributaries, waterfall and ascend step stone to reach Chame from here we can see fine view of Annapurna. Rest overnight.

Day 08: Trek from Chame to Pisang (3,300 m).
After breakfast and short brief our trail start climbs up and down and crosses several rivers we will be in small village Taleku. After Taleku village within 2 hour walk we cross bridge to the sparsely inhabited settlement of Bartang. This khampa settlement is the boundary between Manang and Lamjung. Next, almost 1hour trail of river,crosses bridge and ascend will lead us to Pisang. You can see beautiful rock wall and changes of landscape through the trekking; you can see arid land on the climb. Rest overnight.

Day 09:Trek from Pisang to Manang (3,500 m).
Today we trek for 4 hrs. After short brief we start our trail windy and dry atmosphere which makes special and interesting place for tourists. Trail rises steeply way from lower Pisang to reach upper mustang valley. On the way we can see view of air field and settlement from vintage point. Next our trail descends to the flat valley and reaches Ongre. After crossing Sabche River with a great view of Annapurna range. Next, half hour walk, we will be in Braga. In this village have a beautiful architecture of cliff wall. Next, we will be Manang and rest overnight.

Day 10:Rest at Manang.
Today we stay at Manang and explore the place of Manang and go for short hike. We can visit Bhojo Gumba and Ganagapurna Lake. If we have time and energy we can visit Himalayan rescue association (HRA) to get knowledge about mountain sick and back to lodge. Overnight at Manang.

Day 11:Trek from Manang to Yak Kharka (4,100 m).
Today we trek for about 5 hrs all the way to Yak Kharka. After breakfast and short brief about route and safety our trails start crossing stream and climb up to Tenki village. Before North West Jarsang River we will climb the Marshyandgi valley. Next trail passes Ghunsa village, cluster flat mud roofs below the trail. We trek through graze of horses and yaks. On the way we cross wooden bridge and pass through ancient Mani wall and reach another village Yak Kharka. Rest overnight.

Day 12:Trek from Yak Kharka to Throng Phedi (4,450 m).
We start our trail for 4 hrs, after breakfast and short brief about route and safety.  We start our trail by walking up hill to Thorong la pass. Before Ledar village we cross suspension bridge, ascend and pass from towering cliff Thorong Phedi is the last village before Thorong La Pass. On the way we can see amazing view of Mt Gundang, Mt Thrung peak, Mt Syangang and Mt Khatangkan. overnight in Thorong  Phedi.

Day 13: Trek from Thorang phedi to Muktinath (3,800 m) through Thorong pass (5,416 m).
After Thorong Phedi we descend to Muktinath (3,710 m.) about 8 hrs. Today early in the morning we start our trek to Thorong La Pass .It takes almost 6hour to climb, from here we can see magnificent view of Muktinath temple (pilgrimage place for Hindus and Buddhist, believed sins are relieved after visiting this holy temple). Descend to Muktinath temple about 2 hours. overnight at Muktinath.

Day 14:Trek from Muktinath to Kagbeni (2,800 m).
Today after taking breakfast our trail descends through Kaligandaki valley to Kagbeni. It is located in upper mustang at the vally of kaligandaki. Rest overnight.

Day 15:Trek from Kagbeni to Jomsom (2,700 m) to Marpha (2,600 m).
We trek for 5 hrs. After breakfast and short brief we descend from Ranipauwa village all the way down to barren hill side. After some walk we will be in Jomsom  Marpha .this is the home of orchids as well as various food product from apple. Apple brandy is special local product in here.

Day 16:Trek from Marpha to Kalopani (2,500 m).
After breakfast we start our trekking for 6 hrs to traditional village of Thakali people. On the way we can see beautiful apple garden and breathe taking view of Mt Dhaulagiri, Mt Tukche, Mt Nilgiri, Mt fang and Mt Annapurna Himalayan range. Next, we continue to Kokhethanti and reach Kalopani. Rest overnight.

Day 17: Trek from Kalopani to Tatopani (1,200 m).
Today we trek all the way down to Tatopani.  We start our trail by crossing suspension bridge at Gharsa. After this we start descend to lower elevation and we will be in subtropical forest, Rupse chahara (water fall) and continue down to east bank from Kopchepani bridge at Dana and pass through the Narchayang, which is big village , you can see the life style and culture of local people.  After Narchayang village we will at Tato pani and we will take bath in the hot spring and rest overnight.

Day 18:Trek from Tatopani to Ghorepani (2,853 m).
After breakfast and short brief about route we start our trail for 7-8 hours by crossing through suspension bridge and leave Kaligandhaki. After that we trek to Ghar khola valley lead us through farmland. Next we will reach Ghorepani village and rest overnight.

Day 19:Trek from Ghorepani to Ghandruk (1,900 m).
Today we Trek about 7-8 hrs.Today is your important day of your trip to start our trek you have to get up early in the morning to see the beauty of Poon hill we trek almost 1 hour to Poon hill. from here we can see the best view of Dhulagiri, fishtail, Annapurna south, Singachuli and best sunrise view of Annapurna region. We back to Ghorepani take breakfast and we walk through forest up and down hill. Next we reach to Tadapani. From here we have to walk 4 hour to Ghundruk. Ghandruk is most traditional cultural village for Gurung community to know the culture of Gurung, village has a museum to observe the cultural value of this community.

Day 20:Trek up to Nayapul and drive to Pokhara (835 m).
From Ghandruk it takes approx. 3-4 hrs of walk and drive to Pokhara which takes approx. 1.5-2 hours min drive. Today is our last walking trail all the way to Nayapul. Overnight stay at hotel in Pokhara.

Day 21:Drive back to Kathmandu from Pokhara.
Today we drive back to Kathmandu by tourist coach. There will be a typical Nepali dinner (Dal, Bhat) with various cultural show arranged by Yarsa treks. Enjoy evening programs and rest overnight.
