Everest Base Camp trek is the most popular and world’s best trek. This trek offers splendid mountain view, tapering ridge, beautiful landscape, and colorful Sherpa’s village with local culture. Trekking through the Sagarmatha national park (UNESCO world heritage) is one of the best experiences of this exotic trekking. Everest base camp trekking route takes you to foot of the highest mountain. Everest Base Camp is situated on the Khumbu glacier. We hike to Kalapatthar which is one of the highest points of this trek. From Kalapatthar we can see the phenomenal sunrise view over Everest (8848 m), Makalu (8,481 m), Ama Dablam (6,812 m), Lhotse (8,516 m), Nuptse (7,861 m) and Majestic Everest (8,848 m).
Trekking in Nepal to visit the Base Camp of world’s highest Mountain is not only trekking, it is once in a lifetime experience for trekkers and nature lovers. Another major attraction of the trek is to explore the monasteries and culture of Sherpa land. Likewise, Pangboche monastery is famous for framed yeti scalp but later that was stolen and Tengboche monastery is the biggest monastery of this region. We can observe the lifestyle and culture of Sherpa people in Khumbu region. We can get the spectacular view of the Himalayas in Khumbu region. All major attractions of Everest region are located inside the Sagarmatha national park. If you visit Everest base camp in Spring you can see the rhododendron bloom and dense rhododendron forest turns in to garden. Dense forest of Sagarmatha national park protects rare flora and fauna of the Himalayan region.
Autumn and the Spring are the best seasons for Everest Base Camp trek. In Autumn and Spring seasons trekkers can get what they expect from this exotic trekking. As we trek through the edge of the Dudh Koshi river towards Everest base camp we pass several Sherpa villages, valleys, and monasteries to reach Everest base camp then back to Lukla and fly back to Kathmandu.
Outline itinerary
Day 01: Kathmandu (1400m) Arrival Day and preparation for tomorrow's trek.
Day 02: Fly to Lukla, trek to Phakding (2640m) - 3 hours.
Day 03: Trek Phakding to Namche Bazar (3440m) - 6 hours.
Day 04: Acclimatization day in Namche.
Day 05: Trek Namche to Tyangboche (3860m) - 5 hours.
Day 06: Trek Tyangboche to Dingboche (4410m) - 5 hours.
Day 07: Acclimatization day in Dingboche.
Day 08: Trek Dingboche to Lobuche (4930m) - 5 hours.
Day 09: Trek Lobuje to Gorakshep (5180m) visit Everest base camp (5380m) - 6 hours.
Day 10: Trek to Kalapatthar (5557m) and back to Dingboche - 8 hours.
Day 11: Trek from Dingboche to Namchebazar - 7 hours.
Day 12: Trek from Namche Bazar to Lukla (2850m) - 5 hours.
Day 13: Fly to Kathmandu (1400m) - 30 minutes.

Meals:
When you travel to the new place for your holiday, food is the most concerned part of travel. While, traveling with Yarsa treks, you can experience the delightful cuisine of typical Nepali food, continental food,Chinese food and different international cuisines. You will be suggested by your guide for good food during your trip. During the trek do not order many dishes and waste food as they have to cater to more trekkers before they run off the stock. It is very hard and takes a week or more for caravan and porters to bring the food in these places. You will take lunch in route side, breakfast and dinner will be arranged in the same lodge/Tea house.
Drinking Water:
During the trek you can get the bottled water but it is hard to dispose plastic and it will be the big problem for environment. We will provide purified mineral water during trek. In tea house you can get bottled water and mineral water in additional cost. It will be better to drink mineral water rather than bottled water.
Accommodations:
We provide you the best touristic hotel in Kathmandu with best location. During the trek tea house is main accommodation for trekkers. A tea house is combination of lodge and restaurant. In the tea house lodges are fairly basic, some tea houses you can get separate room but in the high altitude rooms are spared with two beds with blanket and little additional furniture. There will be large dining room where you can get the warm by Bukhara stove. In the tea house there will be the solar electricity but these days most of the tea houses have electricity for charging camera, mobile phones and other small appliances.
Things to take:
This is very active trip, we can’t stay in same place. You can take very light and necessary things. You will get porter who will carry maximum 30 kg which means 2 trekkers=1 porter. Porters are allowed to carry maximum 30 kg of your stuff. Porters will carry your necessary stuff in a duffel bag.

Health & Fitness:
Treks to these treks are some of moderate and some of strenuous, passionate trekkers should have ability to walk for 4-7 hours a day. Trekking to the high altitude is more challenging than the low altitude. To complete the trip we should have good health, average physical fitness, passion, confidence, determination and positive attitude. If you have past hiking experience or exercising habits it will be better for your trek. If you have pre-existing health problem such as lung, heart and other diseases it is better to consult with your doctor or inform Yarsa Treks before booking the trip.
Suitable Time to Trek:
For Trekking to the high altitude we should concern about the weather condition. Autumn (Sept-Nov) and Spring (March-May) are the best seasons for trekking in Himalayas. Trekking in summer and Monsoon (June-Aug) is affected by rain. You can also trek in winter but temperatures could be harsher for most trekkers.

Important notes:
If you’re confused to pack up your necessary things just see in the check list tab. Bring light and necessary things. You will need medium size bag to carry your daily usable stuff. The weather is subject to change in high altitude so layered clothing is recommended throughout the trek.

Day 01: Welcome to you Kathmandu (1,400 m).
Upon your
arrival we assist you from international airport to luxurious hotel. After
getting rest and refreshed you can visit colorful evening market of Thamel and rest overnight.
Day 02: Fly
from Kathmandu (1,400 m) to Lukla (2,850 m).
We are
sure that you will experience most beautiful air route, exciting mountain
flight. you can see 18 different mountain and 4 of them are (8,000 m)
above, After dramatic landing from the surrounded mountain to the
Lukla airport. After landing we will meet our guide and porter. Next start our
trekking for 3 hours all the way to Phakding through the Lukla village. Overnight
at Phakding (2,640 m).
Day 03: Trek
for 6hours from Phakding (2,640 m) to Namche Bazar (3,440 m).
After
short brief about route and safety we start our trail. On the
way you will experience the beautiful view of rhododendron flower, rhododendron
bush, suspension bridge of Dudh koshi (milk river), hilarious mountain’s view
and so on. From Phakding to Namche Bazar (3,440 m), end of the
phakding village there is a suspension bridge Dudh koshi(Milk River). After 2hours walk we will reach Monjo,
and pass through Sagarmatha (Everest) national park. We will be Jorsole this
will be our last resting point before climb up to Namchebazar. Stay overnight.
Day 04: Acclimatization
day in Namche Bazar (3,440 m).
It is
scheduled day for acclimatization. This day we should active instead of lazy,
in Namchebazar there
is restaurants, colorful local market, view point, cyber cafes and
every Friday evening and Saturday morning u can visit Sagarmatha (Everest) national park museum where u can
observe or research about animals and plants of Everest region. You can go
culture trip to traditional Sherpa village Khumjung with a view of Themserku (6,623 m), Ama dablam (6,812 m), Mt Everest (8,848 m) and
many more. Rest overnight in Namchebazar
Day 05: We
trek for 5hours from Namche Bazar (3,440 m) to Tangboche (3,860
m).
Before
start our trek there will be short brief about route, altitude and safety. On
the way to Tengboche you can see musk
deer (type of deer only can see in high altitude), colorful Danphe (National
bird of Nepal). After crossing suspension bridge of Dudh koshi and step
climb through pine and juniper forest. After 2hours walk will bring us
Tengboche. There is Tengboche
gumba (Tengboche monastery) which is largest monastery of Khumbu
region. October/November's full moon in Mani Rimdu festival we can see mask
dance and Tibetan opera in monastery yard. Rest overnight.
Day 06: We
trek for 5hours from Tangboche (3,860 m) to Dingboche (4,410 m).
Before we
start trekking there will be short brief about further way and altitude. When
we leave Tengboche village back there is a suspension bridge over Imjha
river after crossing the bridge, we can see Lhotse (8,516 m), Mt Everest (8,848 m), Ama doblam (6,812 m) and
other beautiful mountains. After Pristine view of Himalayas, Pangboche
monastery treks moves towards Imjha valley, Lobuche and begins to climb towards
Dingboche. In Dingboche we can see stone wall to protect barley, buckwheat
and potatoes from the cold, wind and grazing animals. Rest overnight.
Day 07: Acclimatization day
in Dingboche (4,410 m).
If we
continue to climb you may suffer health problem due to the high altitude.
Dingboche is the perfect place to acclimatization for them who are heading to
the Mt Everest, Ama Doblam and Lhotse. This day we take rest and Explore the
place and sightseeing places. This day we can hike Chukkung valley for the
great view of Mt Everest (8,848 m), Makalu (8,481 m), Lhotse (8,516 m), Nagurjun
hill or we can back 4/5hours Dingboche village to Nangkartshing hill
(5,090 m) to warmup and fit our body. Rest overnight.
Day 08: Trek
for 4-5hours from Dingboche to Lobucha (4,930 m).
After
breakfast there will be short brief about further way and altitude, and
then our trail begins towards Lobuche. On the ridge way we can see towering
view of Tawache and Cholatse. Crossing a wooden bridge we
continue our trail towards to Dhukla
(4,620 m) through yak grazing pasture trail. After that we slowly
start climb step to gravely
terminal of Khumbu , where
we can see memorial graves moraine of Scott fisher, other climbers and Sherpa who
died in 1996 Everest disaster in khumbu glacier, from this place we can see
beautiful view of Lingtren (6,697 m), Pumori (7,145 m), Khumbutse (6,623 m) and Mahalangur
mountain. We can't see Mt Everest because Everest hidden behind the Lhotse and
Nuptse. After one hour upstream walk, we will reach Lobuche (4,930 m). Rest
overnight.
Day 09: Trek
for 6hours from Lobuche to Everest base camp (5,363 m) via Gorak Shep
(5,180 m).
Before we
start trekking there will be short brief about further way and
altitude. Today our trails continue through windy and rocky path to Gorak
shep. In base camp we can see the colorful tents of climbers in spring and
towering view of Khumbutse and Pumori. We will get back to Gorak shep
and rest overnight.
Day 10: Hike to Kalapatthar
(5,545 m) and 8 hours back to Dingboche.
We can see
beautiful sun rise view from Kalapatthar as well as hilarious view of Mt Everest, Mt lhotse, Mt Puromi, Mt
Lingtren, Mt Khumbutse, Mt Ama doblam, Mt Changtse, Mt Nupte and
other many more. After short hiking trek back for 7-8 hours to Dingboche.
Rest overnight.
Day 11: Trek
for 7 hours from Dingboche all the way to Namche Bazar.
Pangboche
is the highest Sherpa settlement and Pangboche monastery is one of the old
monastery which was built in sixteenth century. After breakfast we continue
our trail over Imjha khola, along the hill site down to the Namche bazaar. On
the way we can see musk deer, colorful bird Danphe, Himalayan Thar, beautiful
landscape, mountains and typical culture of Sherpa’s and we reach to Namche
bazar. Rest overnight.
Day 12:
Trek for 6-7 hours from Namche Bazar to Lukla (2,800 m).
Today we
follow wider round aside to Namche bazaar, down through the edge of Dudh koshi,
Everest National park and descend green valley to Phakding. After Phakding we
walk 2 hours to reach Lukla. Celebrate the last night in Khumbu region and rest
overnight.
Day 13: Fly back
to Kathmandu (1,400 m).
Carrying
lots of beautiful, adventurous and exciting memories of Everest region we fly
back to Kathmandu. After landing in airport you will be received and transfer to
hotel. At the evening we will take you dinner arranged by Yarsa treks in Nepali restaurant with various cultural shows. Enjoy the cultural program and rest overnight.
Day 14: Farewell
Today we will assist you to international airport
for your final departure. There will be small farewell program before your
departure.
