Everest Base camp trek is one of the challenging and exciting trekking destinations to chase the 8,848 meters base in Himalaya region. This trekking trajectory takes you to the foothill of Mt. Everest (8,848 m.) and base camp of Everest at 5365 meter elevation. EBC trek is a best way to explore the beauty of Himalaya for adventure lovers, trekkers and mountain climbers. It offers the most magnificent view of high mountains like Mt. Lhotse (8,516 M, 27,940 ft.), Mt. Nuptse (7,861 m, 25,791 ft.), Mt. Cho Oyu (8,201 m, 26,906 ft.), Mt. Makalu (8,463 m, 27,766 ft.) and Ama Dablam (6,812 m, 22,349 ft.). There are several things to do during accept mountain trekking during your time in Nepal. Spring and autumn are the best season for this amazing trek. If you want to see the mountain with full of snow and rhododendron bloom, spring season will be perfect season for Everest base camp trek. During the autumn season we can get the crystal clear view of mountain and one of the best season for trekking in Himalaya region. March to May and September to December is considered as the best season for Everest base camp. This trek is a tea house trek where you will spend nights in lodge and tea house except in Everest base camp where you will stay in the camps.

Everest Base camp trekking takes you to an altitude of (5,545 M.) at Kalapatthar. From Kalapatthar you can observe phenomenal sunrise and sunset view over Mt. Everest and other mountains. This trek starts after you take a flight from Kathmandu to Lukla. En route you will pass through the Sherpa villages such as Phakding, Khumjung, Namchebazar and forest of pine, hemlock, fir, juniper and rhododendro. In Namchebazar you will get to visit colorful markets and Tengboche monastery in route. From Namchebazar you will pass several villages of high altitude to visit Everest base camp, hiking to the Kalapatthar is bonus of Classic Everest base camp trek. Next, we trek back through classic trail of Everest base camp and fly from Lukla to Kathmandu.

Day 10: Trek Lobuje to Gorak Shep (5180 m) and trek to EBC (5364 m) - 7-8 hours

Day 11: Hike to Kalapatthar (5545 m) and back to Pheriche (4240) back – 6-7 hours

Day 12: Trek Pheriche to Namche Bazar (3440 m) - 5 hours

Day 13: Trek Namche Bazar to Lukla (2860 m) - 4 hours

Day 14: Fly back to Kathmandu

Meals:
When you travel to the new place for your holiday, food is concerned  part of travel. While, traveling with Yarsa treks, you can experience the delightful cuisine of typical Nepali food, continental food,Chinese food and different international cuisines. You will be suggested by your guide for good food during your trip. During the trek do not order many dishes and waste food, they have to cater more trekkers before they run off the stock. It is very hard and takes a week or more for caravan and porters to bring the food in these places. You will take lunch in route side, breakfast and dinner will be arranged in the same lodge/Tea house.

Drinking Water:
During the trek you can get the bottled water but it is hard to dispose plastic and it will be the big problem for environment. We will provide purified mineral water during trek. In tea house you can get bottled water and mineral water in additional cost. It will be better to drink mineral water rather than bottled water.

Accommodations:
We provide you best touristic hotel in Kathmandu with best location. During the trek tea house is main accommodation for trekkers. A tea house is combination of lodge and restaurant. In the tea house lodges are fairly basic, some tea houses you can get separate room but in the high altitude rooms are spared with two beds with blanket and little additional furniture.  There will be large dining room where you can get the warm by Bukhara stove. In the tea house there will be the solar electricity but these days most of the tea houses have electricity for charging camera, mobile phones and other small appliances.

Things to take:
This is very active trip, we can’t stay in same place. You can take very light and necessary things. You will get porter who will carry maximum 30 kg which  means 2 trekkers=1 porter. Porters are allowed to carry maximum 30 kg of your stuff. Porters will carry your necessary stuff in a duffel bag.

Health & Fitness:
These treks are some of moderate and some of strenuous, passionate trekkers should have ability to walk for 4-7 hours a day. Trekking to the high altitude is more challenging than the low altitude. To complete the trip we should have good health, average physical fitness, passion, confidence, determination and positive attitude. If you have past hiking experience or exercising habits it will be  better for your trek. If you have pre-existing health problem such as lung, heart and other diseases it is better to consult with your doctor or inform Yarsa Treks before booking the trip.

Suitable Time to Trek:
For Trekking to the high altitude we should concern about the weather condition. Autumn (Sept-Nov) and Spring (March-May) are the best seasons for trekking in Himalayas. Trekking in summer and Monsoon (June-Aug) is affected by rain. You can also trek in winter but temperatures could be  harsher for most trekkers.

Important Notes:
If you’re confused to pack up your necessary things just see in the check list tab. Bring light and necessary things. You will need medium size bag to carry your daily usable stuff. The weather is subject to change in high altitude so layered clothing is recommended throughout the trek.

Day 01: First we warmly welcome you in Kathmandu (1,400 m).
Upon your arrival we assist you from  the Tribhuwan International Airport to a luxurious hotel. After getting rest and refreshed you can visit colorful handicraft market of Thamel and you rest overnight.

Day 02: Visit the world heritage sites and sightseeing places.
Today we provide you a license holder guide, make you tour over Kathmandu Valley to visit the world heritage sites like Boudhanath, Swayambhunath (monkey temple), Kathmandu Darbar square, Patan Darbar square, Bhaktapur Darbar square, Hindus' most religious place Pashupatinath and other sightseeing places. Prepare for tomorrow and rest overnight.

Day 03: Today early in the morning we fly from Kathmandu (1,400 m) to Lukla (2,850 m) and trek to Phakding.
We are sure that you will experience the most beautiful air route,  in the exciting mountain flight you can see 18 different mountains and 4 of them are  (8,000 m) above, After dramatic landing from the surrounded mountains to the Lukla airport we start our trekking for 3 hours all the way to Phakding through  Lukla village. Overnight at Phakding (2,640 m).

Day 04: Today we trek for 6 hours Phakding (2,640 m) to Namche Bazar (3,440 m).
Before we start our trekking there will be short brief about the route, climate, cultural variation and safety.  On the way you will experience the beautiful views of rhododendron flower, rhododendron bush, suspension( hanging ) bridge of the Dudh Koshi (milk river), hilarious mountain views and so on. From Phakding to Namche Bazar (3,440 m)  At end of  Phakding village there is a hanging bridge over the Dudh Koshi(milk river). After 2 hours walk we will reach Monjo, and pass through Sagarmatha (Everest) national park and we reach Jorsole.This will be our last resting point before we climb up to Namche bazar. Stay overnight.

Day 05: Acclimatization day in Namche Bazar (3,440 m).
It is a scheduled day for acclimatization. On this day we should active instead of lazy. In Namchebazar there are restaurants, colorful local market, view point, cyber cafes and every Friday evening and Saturday morning you can visit Sagarmatha (Everest) national park museum where you can observe or research about animals and plants of Everest region. You can go culture trip to traditional Sherpa village, Khumjung with a view of Thamserku(6623 m) , Ama Dablam (6812 m), Mt Everest (8848 m) and many more. Rest overnight in Namchebazar 

Day 06: Today early in the morning we trek for 5 hours from Namche Bazar (3,440 m) to Tengboche (3,860 m).
Before we start our trek there will be short brief about the route, altitude and safety. On the way to Tengboche you can see musk deer ( a type of deer that you  can see only in high altitude), colorful Danphe ( the national bird of Nepal). After crossing air suspension ( hanging) bridge over the Dudh Koshi we climb steps through pine and juniper forests. After 2 hours walk we will be at Tengboche. There is Tengboche gumba ( monastery) and we can see Lhotse (8,516 m), Mt Everest (8,848 m), Ama Dablam (6,812 m) other many more peaks. On October/November's full moon we can see mask dance and Tibetan opera in monastery yard in Mani Rimdu festival . Rest overnight.

Day 07: Today we trek for 5 hours from Tengboche (3,860 m) to Dingboche (4,410 m).
Before we start trekking there will be short brief about further way and altitude. When we leave Tengboche village  there comes a  suspension (hanging ) bridge over the Imjha river.As we cross the bridge, we can see Lhotse (8,516 m), Mt Everest (8,848 m), Ama Dablam (6,812 m) and beautiful mountains of Everest region. After pristine views of Himalayas, Pangboche monastery the  trek moves towards Imjha valley, Lobuche and begins to climb towards Dingboche. In Dingboche we can see stone wall to protect barley, buckwheat and potatoes from the cold, wind and grazing animals. Rest overnight.

Day 08: It is another scheduled acclimatization day in Dingboche (4,410 m).
If we continue to climb you may face health problems due to the high altitude. Dingboche is the perfect place for acclimatization for those who are heading towards  Mt Everest, Ama Dablam and Lhotse.On this day we take rest and explore the places and go for sightseeing.On this day we can hike Chukkung valley for the great views of Mt Everest (8,848 m), Makalu (8,481 m), Lhotse (8,516 m), Nagurjun hill or we can walk 4/5 hours from Dingboche village to Nangkartshing hill (5090 m) to warm up and make our body fit. Rest  overnight.

Day 09: Today early in the morning we leave Dingboche and trek for 4-5 hours all the way to Lobuche (4,930 m).
After breakfast there will be a short brief about further way and altitude, and then our trail begins towards Lobuche. On the ridge way we can see towering views of Tawache and Cholatse. Crossing a wooden bridge we continue our trail towards  Dhukla (4,620 m) through yak grazing pastures. After that we slowly start climbing steps to grave terminal of Khumbu , where we can see memorial graves moraine of Scott Fisher, other climbers and Sherpas who died in 1996 Everest disaster in Khumbu glacier, from this place we can see beautiful views of Lingtren (6,697 m), Pumori (7,145 m), Khumbutse (6,623 m) and Mahalangur mountain. We can't see Mt Everest because Everest is hidden behind  Lhotse and Nuptse. After one hour upstream walk, we will reach Lobuche (4,930 m). Rest overnight.

Day 10: Today we trek for 3 hours from Lobuche to Gorakshep (5,180 m) and hike to EBC (5364 m).
Before we start trekking there will be a short brief about further way and altitude. Today our trail continues through windy and rocky path to Gorakshep. We continue our journey to Everest along Mahalangur, Khumbutse , Pumori and many more . Next, hike to EBC and trek back to Gorek shep. Rest overnight.

Day 11: Today we go for short Hike to Kalapatthar (5,545 m) and back to Phirache (4240 m).
We can see beautiful sunrise view from Kalapatthar as well as hilarious views of Mt Everest, Mt Lhotse, Mt Pumori, Mt Lingtren, Mt Khumbutse, Mt Ama Dablam, Mt Changtse, Mt Nuptse and other many more. After short hiking trek back for 5-6 hours all the way down to Phirache(4240 m). Rest  overnight.

Day 12: Today we trek from Phirecha all the way to Namche Bazar (3,440 m).
After breakfast we continue our trail over the Imjha khola, along the hill side down to Namche bazar. On the way we can see musk deer, colorful bird Danphe, Himalayan Thar, beautiful landscape, mountains and typical culture of Sherpas and we reach  Namche bazar. Rest overnight.

Day 13: Today we trek for 6-7 hours from Namche Bazar to Lukla (2810 m).
Today we follow wider round aside to Namche bazar, down through the edge of the Dudh Koshi, Everest National park and descend to green valley of Phakding. After exploring the natural beauty of Phakding we continue our trail to Lukla. In Lukla tonight is your last night in Everest region with your local crew. You can enjoy your last night with your crew in Lukla. Rest  overnight.

Day 14: Today after having breakfast we fly back to Kathmandu.
Carrying lots of beautiful, adventurous and exciting memories of Everest region we fly back to Kathmandu. After landing at the airport you will  be received and transfered to hotel. Next, we will arrange farewell dinner in a typical Nepali restaurant with cultural show. Rest overnight at hotel.

Day 15: Final departure to your destination.
Today Yarsa Treks assists you to the International Airport before 3 hours for your safe departure from Nepal. There will be a small farewell program before your departure.
