Dhading, Rashuwa, Nuwakot and Gorkha districts are geographical center of Nepal. These four districts represent one of the untouched and unexplored trekking destination in Nepal. This remote and untouched trekking route concealed middle of most popular Manaslu conservation project and Langtang national park. Ganesh Himal trek is near to the Pokhara and Kathmandu. Ganesh himal trekking region embellish the magnificent mountain scenery, waterfalls, wilderness, ranging geographical, biological diversity and typical culture.
Trekking in to the central part of the Nepal is always extra experiences for trekkers. Here traveler can be the part of the unspoiled culture and magnificent nature. This trekking route is not only part of the scenery view and nature, it carries the great culture and history of the warrior called Gorkha led by Prithivi Naraya Shah, set out to unite Nepal in late 1700s. Since then, Gorkha soldier gain the flame for bravery and skills as warrior. Ganesh himal trek takes you to the remote and untouched village of mid Nepal and gives opportunity to experience the unique and typical culture of local inhabitants. Ganesh himal trekking route is the perfect blend of the nature and culture for trekkers.
For Ganesh himal trekking route we drive to Syabrubesi and follow the Tamang heritage trail to reach Gatlang Tamang settlement. After Gatlang we will visit Parvati Kunda, 200 m waterfalls, Yuri Kharka and reach Somdang for overnight. Next we will climb to Pangsang Pass (3,842 m) and descend to Tipling. Lastly we walk through Dharka Phedi and drive to Kathmandu via Dhadingbesi.
Outline Itinerary
Day 01: Drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi (1,610 m).~ Drive 7-8 hours
Day 02: Trek from Syabrubesi to Gatlang (2,238 m).~ 5-6 hours walk
Day 03: Trek from Gatlang to Somdang (3,271 m).~ 6-7 hours walk
Day 04: Trek from Somdang to Tipling (2,078 m) via Pangsang Pass (3,842 m).~ 6-7 hours walk
Day 05: Trek from Tipling to Borang village (1,700 m).~ 5-6 hours walk
Day 06: Trek from Borang village to Darkha Gaun (850 m).~ 6-7 hours
Day 07: Trek to Darkha Phedi and drive to Kathmandu (1,400 m) via Dhadingbesi.~ 45 minutes walk and 6-7 hours drive.
More Information
Meals:
When you travel to the new place for your holiday, food is most concern part of travel. While, traveling with Yarsa treks, you can experience the delightful cuisine of typical Nepali food, continental food, Italian food, Chinese food and different international cuisine. You will be suggested by your guide for good food during your trip. During the trek do not order many dishes and waste food, they have to cater more trekkers before they run off stuck. It is very hard and takes week or more for caravan and porter to brings the food in these places. You will take lunch in route side, breakfast and dinner will arrange in the same lodge/Tea house.
Drinking Water:
During the trek you can get the bottled water but it is hard to dispose plastic and it will be the big problem for environment. We will provide purified mineral water during trek. In tea house you can get bottle water and mineral water in additional cost. It will better to drink mineral water rather than bottled water.
Accommodations:
We provide you best touristic hotel in Kathmandu with best location. During the trek tea house is main accommodation for trekkers. A tea house is combination of lodge and restaurant. In the tea house lodge are fairly basic, some tea house you can get separate room but in the high altitude rooms are spare with two beds with blanket and little additional furniture. There will be large dining room where you can get the warm by Bukhara stove. In the tea house there will be the solar electricity but these days most of the tea houses have electricity for charge Camera, Mobile phones and other small appliances.
Things to take:
This is very active trip we can’t stay in same place. You can take very light and necessary things. You will get porter he will carry 30 kg it means 2 trekkers=1 porter. Porters are allowed to carry 30 kg of your stuff. Porter will carry your necessary stuff in duffel bag.

Health & Fitness:
These treks are some of moderate and some of strenuous, passionate trekkers should have ability to walk for 4-7 hours a day. Trekking to the high altitude is more challenging than the low altitude. To complete the trip we must have good health, average physical fitness, passionate, confidence, determination and positive attitude. If you have past hiking experience or exercising habits it will be the better for your trek. If you have pre-existing health problem such as lung, heart and other diseases it is better to consult with your doctor or inform Yarsa treks before booking the trip.
Suitable Time to Trek:
For Trekking to the high altitude we should concern about the weather condition. Autumn (Sept-Nov) and spring (March-May) is the best season for trekking in Himalayas. Trekking in summer and Monsoon (June-Aug) is affected by rain. You can also trek in winter but tempters could be most harsh for most trekkers.

Important notes:
If you’re confused to pack up your necessary things just see in the check list tab. Bring light and necessary things. You will need medium size bag to carry your daily usable stuff. The weather is subject to change in high altitude so layered clothing is recommended throughout the trek.

Day 01: Drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi (1,610 m).~ Drive 7-8 hours
Today after breakfast we will drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi. We drive through the Trishuli Highway with the beautiful foothill of mountains and green valleys. We will drive through the high ridge of hills, terraced fields, and several villages. Next we will reach Dhunche and see the beautiful view around, next stop will be Syabrubesi. Rest overnigh at Syabrubesi.
Day 02: Trek from Syabrubesi to Gatlang (2,238 m).~ 5-6 hours walk
After breakfast trail moves through dirty zigzag track and up to Danda Pass. After scenery view we will descend to Gatling. Gatlang village is one of the major cultural village inhabitant by Tamang community. Here we can see the unique culture, lifestyle and traditional customs. Explore cultural village and rest overnight.
Day 03: Trek from Gatlang to Somdang (3,271 m).~ 6-7 hours walk
Today we will visit Parvati Kunda; where thousands of pilgrims came in Janaipurnima to visit this place. Trail moves through Yuri Kharka and climb to Kharphu Bhanjyang to see the great view Langtang range, Ganesh himal and Manaslu region. Next, we will drop to the Somdang river; which is boarder of Dhading and Rasuwa district. Explore around and rest overnight.
Day 04: Trek from Somdang to Tipling (2,078 m) via Pangsang Pass (3,842 m).~ 6-7 hours walk
After breakfast we hike to the Pangsang Kharka for great scenery of Ganesh himal region and far view. Here we can get the Terrain view to the southwest and mountain view to the north. Ganash himal and Manaslu view is splendid view from Pangsang Pass (3,842 m). Trail descends to the Tipling village that hosts two Buddhist Gompa and Church. Tipling is Tamang village it has a beautiful cultural show. Explore the culture and scenery around and rest overnight.
Day 05: Trek from Tipling to Borang village (1,700 m).~ 5-6 hours walk
After breakfast we descend to cross the Adha Khola and ascend to two sister village of Shertung and Chalish. Shertung is mainly inhabitant by Tamang. The name Shertung means gold. According to the legend two brother search of the gold led here by dream thus settlement was born. Chalish is inhabitant by Gurung, Ghale and Kami. They show their culture such as Shaman dancer, Ghatu dance, traditional dances and welcome dances. See the cultural dances and rest overnight.
Day 06: Trek from Borang village to Darkha Gaun (850 m).~ 6-7 hours
After breakfast trail lead us to the Lishne Khola and continue to Percho. After Percho trail passes suspension bridge with the magnificent view of Ankhu Khola, Chyamchyat and Ri village. Next, we will be Dharkha Goan and rest overnight.
Day 07: Trek to Darkha Phedi and drive to Kathmandu (1,400 m) via Dhadingbesi.~ 45 minutes walk and 6-7 hours drive.
Today is our last day of this trip. We trek from Darkha Gaun to Dharka Phedi and take jeep ride to Dhadingbesi to Kathmandu. We will drop you to your hotel and here we end our service.
