Jomsom Muktinath with Thorong Pass Trek is one of the popular trail in Annapurna region. It is the blend of cultural, pilgrimage and natural tour which takes you to the Tibetan plateau in Muktinath as well as highest point Thorong Pass in Annapurna region. Muktinath is one of the famous holy sites for Hindus and Buddhists. Every year thousands of pilgrims come to visit the temple of Lord Bishnu, the Muktinath Temple. Jomsom Muktinath with Thorong Pass trekking is a 10 days tea house path covers the two different terrains of Manang and Mustang district. In this trek you will experience wide range of climate, culture and vegetation ranging from subtropical to alpine to semi-desert vegetation.
However, this trajectory encounters majestic view of Mountains such as Manaslu, Annapurna I, II, III, IV, Gangapurna, Dhaulagiriand many other peaks. Jomsom Muktinath with Thorong Pass is the best trekking destination for trekkers who really want to explore Muktinath temple with adventurous Manang district. Muktinath temple with it legendry belief and Thorang height blends and make differentiation to other trekking in Nepal. Explorer will move through some of the important places like Kagbeni, Jomsom, Pisang, Chame, Manang, Thorong pass and Muktinath temple.
Trail to Throng La Pass (5416 m.) adds another perfect glimpses to explorer. This trek takes you through the half way of Annapurna Circuit as we can say it is the alternative of Annapurna circuit trek. After crossing the high pass of Thorong La you will reach Muktinath. Hindu people visit this famous temple of Lord Bishnu in Muktinath and belief that they will gain salvation after death. From Muktinath you will trek up to Jomsom via Kagbeni. En route you will enjoy the picturesque hills, beautiful scenery of the mountains. From Jomsom either you can take a flight back to Pokhara or trek via Kaligandaki. At Pokhara you can take a day rest enjoying boating at Phewa lake and visiting pubs at night.

Day 01: Kathmandu (1,400 m) Arrival Day.

Day 04: Trek to Dharapani (1,900 m).~ 5-6 hours

More Information
Meals:
When you travel to the new place for your holiday, food is
concerned part of travel. While, traveling with Yarsa treks, you can experience
the delightful cuisine of typical Nepali food, continental food, Italian food,
Chinese food and different international cuisines. You will be suggested by
your guide for good food during your trip. During the trek do not order many
dishes and waste food, they have to cater to more trekkers before they run off
stock. It is very hard and takes a week or more for caravan and porters to
bring the food in these places. You will take lunch in route side, breakfast
and dinner will be arranged in the same lodge/Tea house.
Drinking Water:
During the trek you can get the bottled water but it is hard to
dispose plastic and it will be the big problem for environment. We will provide
purified mineral water during trek. In tea houses you can get bottled water and
mineral water in additional cost. It will be better to drink mineral water
rather than bottled water.
Accommodations:
We provide you best touristic hotel in Kathmandu/ Pokhara with
best location. During the trek tea house is main accommodation for trekkers. A
tea house is combination of lodge and restaurant. In the tea house lodges are
fairly basic, in some tea houses you can get separate room but in the high
altitude rooms are spared with two beds with blankets and little additional
furniture. There will be large dining room where you can get the warmth
by Bukhara stove. In the tea houses there will be solar electricity but these
days most of the tea houses have electricity for charging camera, mobile phones
and other small appliances.
Things to take:
This is very active trip we can’t stay in same place. You can take very light
and necessary things. You will get a porter who will carry 30 kg which
means 2 trekkers=1 porter. Porters are allowed to carry 30 kg of your stuff.
Porters will carry your necessary stuff in a duffel bag.

Health & Fitness:
These treks are some of moderate and some of strenuous. Passionate
trekkers should have ability to walk for 4-7 hours a day. Trekking to the high
altitude is more challenging than the low altitude. To complete the trip we
should have good health, average physical fitness, passion, confidence,
determination and positive attitude. If you have past hiking experience or
exercising habits it will be the better for your trek. If you have pre-existing
health problems such as lungs, heart and other diseases, it is better to
consult with your doctor or inform Yarsa treks before booking the trip.
Suitable Time to Trek:
For trekking to the high altitude we should concern about the
weather condition. Autumn (Sept-Nov) and Spring (March-May) are the best
seasons for trekking in Himalayas. Trekking in Summer and Monsoon (June-Aug) is
affected by rain. You can also trek in winter but temperatures could be
harsher for most trekkers.

Important Notes:
If you’re confused to pack up your necessary things just see in
the check list tab. Bring light and necessary things. You will need medium size
bag to carry your daily usable stuff. The weather is subject to change in high
altitude so layered clothing is recommended throughout the trek.

Day 01: Welcome to Kathmandu (1400 m).
We will receive you and
take you to the hotel. After getting rest you can visit colorful markets of Thamel and rest overnight.
Day 02: sightseeing in Kathmandu valley.
Today we will provide
you experienced guide to visit world heritage places Swayambhunath (known as
monkey temple), Boudhanath, Pashupatinath, Darbar squares and sightseeing
places. we prepare for next day trip and overnight at hotel.
Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Syange/ Jagat (1,100 m).
Drivetoday we drive you
kathmandu to syange(208 km). We go all the way to Syange from the edge of
Trishuli river which is very famous for rafting. After crossing the bridge of
Trishuli river we turn west towards Dumre when we reach Dumre we turn north and
fallow the Marshyandi river through Nadi valley, Beshi Sahar untill we reach
Syange. Overnight at Syange.
Day 04: Trek from Syange/Jagat to Dharapani
(1,960 m).
We pass the village
where Tibetan are settled (migrated long time ago). On the way we can see
different lifestyle, settlement and culture. We cross suspension bridge and
climb lead us Tal village (Where Gurung and Tibetan were settled). End of the
valley above Tal we steeply rises and fall to Dharapani. Overnight at
Dharapani.
Day 05: Trek from Dharapani to Chame (2,630 m).
After breakfast and
short brief about route and safety our trails begins to climb in a high
altitude and reach Bagarchap within an hour trek, following Dangyan Tibetan
settlement, trails enter to dense forest, crossing bridge over tributaries,
waterfall and ascend step stone to reach chame. It takes 3hour to reach chame,
from here we can see fine view of Annapurna. Overnight at lodge.
Day 06: Trek from Chame to Pisang (3,300 m).
After breakfast and
short brief our trail start climbs up and down and crosses several rivers and
we will be in small village Taleku. After Taleku village within 2hour walk
we cross bridge to the sparsely inhabited settlement of Bartang. This
khampa settlement is the boundary between Manang and Lamjung.
Next,almost 1hour trail of river, crossing bridge and ascend will lead us to
Pisang. You can see beautiful rock wall and changes of landscape
through the trekking; you can see arid land on the climb. Overnight
at Pisang.
Day 07: Trek from Pisang to Manang (3,570 m).
After short brief we
start our trail windy and dry atmosphere, which makes special and interesting
place for tourists. Trail rises steeply way from lower Pisang to reach upper
Mustang valley. On the way we can see view of airfield and settlement from
vintage point. Next, our trail descends and goes through the flat valley to
reach Ongre. After crossing Sabche river with a great view of Annapurna range.
After half hour walk, we will be in Braga. In this village have a beautiful
architecture of cliff wall. Next, we will be Manang. Overnight at lodge.
Day 08: Acclimatization day.
Explore the natural
beauty and culture around. Today we stay at Manang and explore the place
of Manang and go for short hike. We can visit Bhojo Gumba and Ganagapurna Lake.
If we have time and energy we can visit Himalayan rescue association (HRA) to
get knowledge about mountain sick and get back to Manang. Overnight at
lodge.
Day 09: Trek from Manang to Letdar (4,250 m).
After we leave Manang trail
ascend to Thorung la pass and climb steady through Tenki and leaving the
Marshyandgi valley and continue the Jarsang river valley we will be in
Ledar. Overnight at lodge.
Day 10: Trek from Letdar to Phedi (4,420 m) or High camp
(4,600 m).
After breakfast there
will be short brief about route and safety. We start our trail descend to cross
the river then climb up to hill and we will be in Phedi. rest overnight.
Day 11: Climb from Phedi or High Camp to Muktinath
(3,800 m).
After breakfast we start
our trail towards Muktinath temple. We start trek to Thorang la pass (5,416 m) for 7hours
ascent to the top .from here can see the magnificent view of Muktinath temple
and 3hours descend will lead us to Muktinath temple (Bishnu temple). This is
common temple for Hindus and Buddhist. Here is a believed that, sins are
relieved after visiting this holy temple. Muktinath temple is the combination
of earth-fire-water it gives area of particular religious significance. Rest
overnight at tea house.
Day 12: Trek from Muktinath trekking to Jomsom (2,713 m)
via Kagbeni (2,810 m).
Trails descend through
kaligandaki valley to kagbeni (famous village of upper mustang). Next
descending from Ranipauwa village down to the steep and barren hillside which
is home of many orchids as well as various food products made from fruits.
Apple brandy is most popular local product in here. Explore Kagbeni and rest
overnight.
Day 13: Take a flight from Jomsom to Pokhara.
Today we fly for pokhara and
explore the beauty of Pokhara or visit some of the famous places like
Phewa Lake, Sarankot, white gumba, davi's falls, Mahindra cave, Chamero cave
and lots more. Overnight at hotel.
Day 14: Drive or fly from Pokhara to Kathmandu.
Today we drive 204 km
(5-6hours)/fly for 25 min all the way to Kathmandu. When you reach Kathmandu there will be arrangement of typical Nepali dinner(Dal, Bhat) with various cultural show. Enjoy evening programs and rest overnight.
Day 15: Departure from Kathmandu.
Today is your departure
day to your home. yarsa treks will drop you to international airport before
3hours and farewell you.
