Kaligandaki River is one of the most holy river In Nepal. The river is named after deity of Hindu Goddess kali the god of destruction. Kaligandaki originates at lap of Himalaya in Tibetan plateau in Mustang and fall with greatest speed cutting one mountains forming gorge. Kali Gandaki River flows down between mighty range of Dhaulagiri and Annapurna carving the deepest gorge in the world the Kaligandaki gorge. Kaligandaki river rafting is one of the best river rafting in Nepal.

Kaligandaki river rafting starts from Maldunga which is at 3 hours driving distance from Pokhara and ends at Mirmi Dham which is at 5 hours driving distance from Pokhara. Kaligandaki river rafting offers dome of the most exciting rapids and spectacular Mountain View. You will raft along the river passing through jungle corridors inhibited by diverse wildlife, under suspension bridge, cascades, deep gorge, cultural shrines, beautiful villages and many more. For night you will stay in a camp on white sandy beaches of River, camping, enjoying. Klai gandaki river rafting is idyllic for both starter and experienced rafters. September to December and February to May are the best time for Kali gandaki river rafting.

Outline Itinerary

Day 01: Drive to Beni, rafting to Modi Khola, Camping

Day 02: Rafting day, Camping at Purti Ghat village

Day 03: Rafting to Seti Beni to Mirmire, drive back to Pokhara

Day 01: Drive to Beni and expedition to Modi Khola.
Early in the morning at around 7/8 am, we drive for around 3-4 hours to reach the put-in point near Beni. During drive we observe spectacular views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri peaks and sacred Machhapauchhare. Today we begin our rafting with some class III rapids this is a warm up for the team, soon after that you will encounter 2 big class 4 rapids named ‘Small Brother’ and ‘Big Brother’.  After encountering these two big rapids we reach the Modi Khola confluence where we will choose the beach for the evening campsite.

Day 02: Modi Khola to Purti Ghat.
Today we start down our rafting where we encounter many class 3 rapids and the most challenging class 4 named 'REFUND'. This trip offers some adrenaline calm and spectacular scenery including views of Annapurna 1 and Himchuli. The river passes through the vines, wildlife and lush vegetation hanging from the cliff faces.  We make our campsite below the village of Purti Ghat.

Day 03: Purti Ghat to Mirmire and drive back to Pokhara.
As soon as we start our rafting we reach the holy village of Seti Beni. This part of river is strewn with large house size boulder in the confluence with a smaller tributary. After continuous 2 hours of floating we reach the take out point at Mirmire. Our bus will be waiting for us. We load up the gear and prepare for the bus journey back to Pokhara.
