Kanchenjunga base camp trek is one of the most untouched and unexplored trekking region of Nepal. This fascinating and most dangerous trekking destination of Nepal is fancy by most the national and international trekkers. The main peak and its immediate satellites take the form of a giant cross which straddles the borders of three countries – Nepal, Tibet and the once independent kingdom but now Indian state of Sikkim.
Mt Kanchenjunga (8,586 m) is the third highest peak of in the world. This trek takes one right up close to the big mountain, through forests of rhododendrons, orchids, pine and magnolia to the higher valleys and the Rolling Meadows used for grazing by the gentle yak-herding Lepchas. Meals:
When you travel to the new place for your holiday, food is most concern part of travel. While, traveling with Yarsa treks, you can experience the delightful cuisine of typical Nepali food, continental food, Italian food, Chinese food and different international cuisine. You will be suggested by your guide for good food during your trip. During the trek do not order many dishes and waste food, they have to cater more trekkers before they run off stuck. It is very hard and takes week or more for caravan and porter to brings the food in these places. You will take lunch in route side, breakfast and dinner will arrange in the same lodge/Tea house.
Drinking Water:
During the trek you can get the bottled water but it is hard to dispose plastic and it will be the big problem for environment. We will provide purified mineral water during trek. In tea house you can get bottle water and mineral water in additional cost. It will better to drink mineral water rather than bottled water.
Accommodations:
We provide you best touristic hotel in Kathmandu/Pokhara with best location. During the trek tea house is main accommodation for trekkers. A tea house is combination of lodge and restaurant. In the tea house lodge are fairly basic, some tea house you can get separate room but in the high altitude rooms are spare with two beds with blanket and little additional furniture. There will be large dining room where you can get the warm by Bukhara stove. In the tea house there will be the solar electricity but these days most of the tea houses have electricity for charge Camera, Mobile phones and other small appliances.
Things to take:
This is very active trip we can’t stay in same place. You can take very light and necessary things. You will get porter he will carry 30 kg it means 2 trekkers=1 porter. Porters are allowed to carry 30 kg of your stuff. Porter will carry your necessary stuff in duffel bag.

Health & Fitness:
These treks are some of moderate and some of strenuous, passionate trekkers should have ability to walk for 4-7 hours a day. Trekking to the high altitude is more challenging than the low altitude. To complete the trip we have good health, average physical fitness, passionate, confidence, determination and positive attitude. If you have past hiking experience or exercising habits it will be the better for your trek. If you have pre-existing health problem such as lung, heart and other diseases it is better to consult with your doctor or inform Yarsa treks before booking the trip.
Suitable Time to Trek:
For Trekking to the high altitude we should concern about the weather condition. Autumn (Sept-Nov) and spring (March-May) is the best season for trekking in Himalayas. Trekking in summer and Monsoon (June-Aug) is affected by rain. You can also trek in winter but tempters could be most harsh for most trekkers.

Important notes:
If you’re confused to pack up your necessary things just see in the check list tab. Bring light and necessary things. You will need medium size bag to carry your daily usable stuff. The weather is subject to change in high altitude so layered clothing is recommended throughout the trek.
Day 01: Welcome to Kathmandu city (1,400 m).
Upon your arrival we assist you from international airport to hotel. After getting rest and refreshed we will take you to dinner completely Nepal cuisine with cultural dances andRest overnight.
Day 02: Full day sightseeing in Kathmandu valley.
Today we go for a sightseeing tour over Kathmandu valley. We provide you license holder guide tour over Kathmandu valley. We visit Swayambhunath, Pashupatinati, Boudhanath and Darbar squares. Prepare for tomorrow trip and rest overnight.
Day 03: Fly from Kathmandu to Biratnagar (81 m).
Today early in the morning we fly 40 minutes from Kathmandu to Biratnagar (81 m). Today we fly for 40 minutes to Terai region and second biggest city of Nepal ‘Biratnagar’. Explore around city and rest overnight.
Day 04: Fly from Biratnagar to Suketar (2,420 m).
We fly from Biratnagar all the way to Suketar (2,420 m). Today we fly from biratnagat all the way northeast for 30 minutes. Sukatar is beautiful place from here we can see whole Taplejung valley and Tamur valley below. From here trail goes two place one Kanchenjunga base camp another Hindus holy Divas temple Pathivara Rest overnight at Suketar.
Day 05: Trek from Suketar to Mitlung (921 m).
Today we trek from Suketar walking for 4-5hours to Mitlung (921 m). We start our trail from Suketar descend to Mitlung. on the way we can see conservative area for red pandas as well as culture and lifestyle of Limbus. Next we will reach Mitlung. Tongba ( Alcholic drink serve in bamboo jug and drink from straw) is famous in this region you can drink Tongba at evening. Rest overnight.
Day 06: Trek from Mitlung to Chirwa (1,270 m).
Today we trek from Mitlung walking for 5-6hours all the way to Chirwa (1,270 m). We walk through Bhote, Sherpa and Limbu gaon. Trail cross the bridge of Tawa khola and ascend to ridge to reach Tawa village. Next we descend to east bank of Tomur River and we will be Chirwa. Rest overnight.
Day 07: Trek from Chirwa to Sukatham (1,576 m).
Today we trek from Chirwa walking for 5-6hours to Sukathum (1,576 m). We start trail by crossing suspension bridge of Simbuwa khola . After crossing the bridge of Simbu khola we will be in west bank of Tomur river and ascend from Tomur and Ghunsa khola brings us to Suktham and rest overnight.
Day 08: Trek from Sukatham to Amjilosa (2,308 m).
Today we trek from Sukathum walking for 6-7hours all the way to Amjilosa (2,308 m). One of the long trail through pine and oak forest. We pass through different villages and viewpoints. On the way we can see the lifestyle and culture of local people. Mostly we ascend to the ridge so it takes long time to reach our destination. After reaching Amjilosa explore village and rest overnight.
Day 09: Trek from Amjilosa to Gyabla (2,730 m).
Today we trek from Amjilosa walking for 6-7hours to Gyabla (2,730 m). We start trail by crossing suspension bridge over Sumbung Khola and trail ascend towards Phale through Juniper forest. Next we pass through Mane and monastery to reach Gyablu and rest overnight.
Day 10: Trek from Gyabla to Ghunsa (3,595 m).
Today we trek from Gyabla walking for 6-7hours to Ghunsa (3,595 m). after short brief about route and safety we start trail through juniper forest nearby several Mane and monasteries. Next we ascend to reachGhunsa and rest overnight.
Day 11: Acclimatization day.
Today we explore Ghunsa and experience the natural and cultural variation. Ghunsa is Tibetan village and we can see the prayers flags. Beautiful local style wooden houses and monasteries is main attraction in this place. Drinking Tongba from bamboo jug is extra experience here. After experience lifestyle of local we prepare for tomorrow and rest overnight.
Day 12: Trek from Ghunsa to Kambachen (4,050 m).
Today we trek from Ghunsa walking for 5-6hours till Kambachen (4,050 m). We move from south of the Ghunsa Khola and cross the flood plains while emerging on a pasture situated at the north side of river. After river flood climb in a slop and desend to Lakepo. After Lakhapo short climb will lead us to Kambachen and rest overnight.
Day 13: Trek from Kambaschen to Lhonak (4780 m).
Today early after breakfast we trek from Kambachen walking for 6-7 hours to Lhonak (4,780 m). trail gradually climb through rocky field and lead us to the Ramatang (4,240 m). After Ramatang we will cross northwest Kanchenjunga glacier. Next we will reach Lhonak; which is sandy plain near dry lake bed with magnificent mountain vista and rest overnight.
Day 14: Trek from Lhonak to Kanchenjunga north base camp (5,388 m).
Today we trek from Lhonak walking for 6-7 hours all the way to the Kanchenjunga north base camp (5,388 m). We start our trail with the view of Kanchenjunga peak and we will reach Peng pema (5,100 m). next we climb 300 m on the ridge which lead us to Kanchenjunga base camp. Here we can get great towering view of Kanchenjunga (8,586 m) and rest overnight at camp.
Day 15: Trek back to Kambachen (4,050 m).
Today early in the morning after viewing the stunning sunrise view we trek for 6-7hours all the way back to we get back and descend through Pang pema, Lhonak and glacier of Kanchenjunga. Lastly we descend to reach Kambaschen and rest overnight.
Day 16: Trek from Kambachen to Ghunsa (3,595 m ).
Today we trek from Kambachen all the way down till Ghunsa. We start trail descend through pine forest to Lokepo and climb slop and descend steep. We pass through Phola a village in two parts and next we cross flood of Ghunsa khola and descend to north of the Kambachen and rest overnight.
Day 17: Trek from Ghunsa to Sele Le (4,290 m).
Today we trek from Ghunsa walking for 6-7hours all the way to Sele Le (4,290 m). Trail ascends through pine, birch and rhododendron forest. On the way we walk through chortens and prayers flags. Now trail become exciting when we reach south Tangbgharma Danda and we will be Sele La. Explore around drink tongba (kind of alchoal famoue in this region) and Rest overnight.
Day 18: Trek from Sele Le to Cheram (3,870 m).
We trek from Sele le walking for 6-7hours all the way to Cheram (3,870 m). Today we pass four passes. We start trail through Sinion La pass, Sele La pass, Mirgin La pass and Sinelapnche bhanjyang. After passing these four pass with great view we will reach Cheram and rest overnight.
Day 19: Trek from Cheram to Ramche (4,580 m).
Today we trek form Cheram walking for 4-5hours back to Ramche (4,580 m) and then trek back to Cheram. The Scenery is magnificent as we ascend past the snout of Yalung glacier in to series of ablation valleys; here we can get easy walking path and good camping sites. Rest overnight.
Day 20: Trek from Ramche to Tortang (2,995 m).
Today we trek from Ramche walking for 5-6hours to Tortong (2,995 m). Our trail moves towards Lapseng Lake and trails leads to north join the main trail of Ghunsa (way of four pass). We pass through monestary, mani wall and Yak khark alpine. Next we descend through forest to Yamphudin; from here we can get septcular view of Yalung Glacier moraine,Rothong and Kabru peaks. Rest overnight.
Day 21: Trek from Tortang to Yamphudin (2,080 m).
Today we trek from Tortong walking for 6-7hours till Yamphudin (2,080 m). first of all trail crosses the bridge of Simbuwa Khola and ascend through forest then trail goes through difficult walk devastating land slide to the west but guide will explore other alternative way. We pass through Deurali danda, descend through forest, and cross the bridge of Amji Khola. Next ascend with the view of peaks to the east border of Nepal and India. Trail ascend to Dhupi Bhanjyang and descend east side of the river then we will be in Yangphudin and Rest overnight.
Day 22: Trek from Yamphudin to Yangpang (1,007 m).
Today we trek from Yamphudin walking for 6-7hours to Yangpang (1,007 m). Rest overnight.
Day 23: Trek from Yampudin to Thorpu (1,500 m).
Today we trek from Yangpang walking for 5-6hours till Thorpu (1,500 m). Rest overnight.
Day 24: Drive from Thorpu to Birtemod (300 m).
Today early morning drive for 4-5hours from Thorpu to Birtamod (300m). Rest overnight.
Day 25: Drive to Bhadrapur and fly back to Kathmandu.
Today early in the morning we drive for 30min from Birtamod to Bhadrapur and then fly all the way back to Kathmandu. Rest overnight.
Day 26: Farewell friends.
Today after lunch we transfer you to international airport for your final departure.
