Mera peak (6,476 meter/21,250 ft.) is one of the most spectacular mountain in Khumbu region. Mera Peak is becoming more and more popular day by day. From the top of Mera peak as you look around up in the clouds and above them lies the mighty Himalayan eight thousanders the Mt. Everest, Kanchenjunga, Makalu, Lhotse, Cho-Oyu and many others, the scene is incredible. Mera peak climbing is technically not difficult yet physically demanding which requires good physique, dedication and trekking and climbing experience. The Peak was first ascend by Col. Mera peak climbing starts after you take a scenic flight from Kathmandu to Lukla. From Lukla rather than heading to other classic Everest trekking route, north towards Namche Bazar the trekking trail will head east towards the ridge of peak. The ridge of Mera Peak divides Dudh Koshi valley from Hinku valley. Climbing forward you will cross the high pass Zatra La (4,610 m.) then climb down to Hinku valley. From Hinku valley climbing for about 2-3 days first north and then to east will take you to Mera La (5,415 m.). From Mera La you climb for 2 days through glacier to reach the summit of Mera Peak. Trekking through beautiful valleys, virgin forest, Sherpa villages, beautiful valley of Honku and Hinku which are spectacular and wilderness region. While returning back you will trek down to wild Hongu valley which is one of the most beautiful valley in Khumbu region. You will further descend down to Tangnag and trek back through Thuli Kharka, Zatrwa La Pass, Chutanga to Lukla then fly back to Kathmandu.
There are ample of ways to climb Mera Peak which depends on how much difficulty you would like to face. There are many peaks of Mera like North Mera Peak (6,476 m.), Central Mera Peak (6,416 m.) and South Mera Peak (6,064 m.).

Meals:
When you travel to the new place for your holiday, food is most concern part of travel. While, traveling with Yarsa treks, you can experience the delightful cuisine of typical Nepali food, continental food, Italian food, Chinese food and different international cuisine. You will be suggested by your guide for good food during your trip. During the trek do not order many dishes and waste food; they have to cater more trekkers before they run off stuck. It is very hard and takes week or more for caravan and porter to brings the food in these altitude places. You will take lunch in route side, breakfast and dinner will arrange in the same lodge/Tea house.
Drinking Water:
During the trek you can get the bottled water but it is hard to dispose plastic and it will be the big problem for environment. We will provide purified mineral water during trek. In tea house you can get bottle water and mineral water in additional cost. It will better to drink mineral water rather than bottled water.
Accommodations:
We provide you best touristic hotel in Kathmandu with best location. During the trek tea house is main accommodation for trekkers. A tea house is combination of lodge and restaurant. In the tea house lodge are fairly basic, some tea house you can get separate room but in the high altitude rooms are spare with two beds with blanket and little additional furniture. There will be large dining room where you can get the warm by Bukhara stove. In the tea house there will be the solar electricity but these days most of the tea houses have electricity for charge Camera, Mobile phones and other small appliances.
Things to take:
This is very active trip we can’t stay in same place. You can take very light and necessary things. You will get porter he will carry maximum 30 kg it means 2 trekkers=1 porter. Porters are allowed to carry maximum 30 kg of your stuff. Porter will carry your necessary stuff in duffel bag.

Health & Fitness:
Mera Peak climbing is not much difficult but you should have good physical, stamina, positive energy for summit. You don’t need huge climbing experience but you need to know the knowledge of climbing equipments. Before the summit there will be the pre-ice climbing training in the Mera peak base camp; training will let you know how to use climbing equipments. For Mera peak climbing you needs to walk usually 5-6 hours of everyday and 10-12 hours in summit day. So, our advise you that you prepare yourself jogging or walking every day around 2 months before your trip. For Mera peak you have to walk in high altitude and remote villages. For successful summit you must have potential will power, physical fitness, stamina and positivity inside you. You need to consult with doctor or let us know about your physical condition before your climbing trip.
Climbing:
During the trip we will provide you an experienced, English speaking and license holder climbing guide. For the main guide, assailant guide and necessary Sherpa crew we need to know your group size then we will define the crew member that you need for the climbing trip. We are concern about your safety so we will arrange the necessary staff and Sherpa for your trip; if anybody becomes ill during the trip we still go as planned. Let you know group should be 2-12 people for the successful climbing trip.
Suitable Time to Trek:
For Trekking to the high altitude we should concern about the weather condition. Autumn (Sept-Nov) and spring (March-May) is the best season for trekking in Himalayas. Trekking in summer and Monsoon (June-Aug) is affected by rain. You can also trek in winter but tempters could be most harsh for most trekkers.

Important notes:
If you’re confused to pack up your necessary things just see in the check list tab. Bring light and necessary things. You will need medium size bag to carry your daily usable stuff. The weather is subject to change in high altitude so layered clothing is recommended throughout the trek.

Day 01: Welcome to Kathmandu (1,400 m).
Upon your arrival our airport representative receives and assists you to hotel. After getting refreshed visit evening market of Thamel and rest overnight.
Day 02: Sightseeing in Kathmandu valley.
Today we provide you a Guided tour of Kathmandu valley. We take you to visit UNESCO world heritage sites such as Swayambhunath, Boudhanath and Pashupatinath. You will be free for shopping your necessary things for trek. Rest overnight.
Day 03: Fly to Lukla and then trek to Chutanga (3,450 m). 30 minutes in flight and 3-4 hours trek.
Today we will take scenery flight to Lukla. During the flight we can see 18 different mountains view. After dramatic landing in Tenzing-Hillary airport in Lukla, we will visit our crew (Guide, assistance guide and necessary other staffs) and prepare your bag pack and trek towards Chutanga. We straight ascend for an hour and little descend from ridge to reach Chutanga. Explore around and rest overnight.
Day 04: Trek to Thule Kharka (4,400 m) via Zatrwa La Pass (4,610 m).~ 5-6 hours
Today we trek to Thuli Khrka passing through Zatrwa La Pass. We pass the snowy area with the majestic view of Cho-Oyu (8,201 m), Mera peak (6,476 m), Ama Doblam (6,812 m), Makalu (8,481 m), Everest (8,848 m) and other snow capped peaks. We ascend to the Zatrwa La Pass and see the majestic panorama and descend to reach Thuli Kharka. Explore the majestic view and rest overnight.
Day 05: Trek to Tashing Dingma (3,600 m).~ 5-6 hours
Today we trek from Tuli Kharka to Tashing Dingma. We walk to the dry alpine, here we can see the pheasant Danphe (National bird of Nepal), Thar and some birds. Lastly we little descend lead us to Tasing Dingma. Explore the majestic views and rest overnight.
Day 06: Trek from Tashing Dingma to Tangnag (4,350 m).~ 4-5 hours
Today we trek all the way to Tangng (4,350 m). We trek the bank of Inkhu Khola, here we can get the vegetation of rhododendron and oak. We follow the Inkhu River with the view of Mt. Charpate and Mera peak. Next we will reach Tangna and explore around and rest overnight.
Day 07: Trek from Tangnag to Khare (5,100 m).~3-4 hours
Today we trek to reach Khare. Trail slightly goes up till Ding Kharka; here we can get breath taking view of Mt Charpate. Next our trail slightly takes up and we will be in small Sherpa village Khare which is located in the sloppy surface. Explore the majestic view around and rest overnight.
Day 08: Acclimatization Day at Khare.
Today we explore the sightseeing spot and our guide will train you to climb in Mera peak. Your guide will tell you how to use the climbing equipments such as rope, Ice-axe, Ice boots etc. Your guide will take you to the small passes to teach some technique of summit. Prepare and check your necessary things and rest overnight.
Day 09: Trek from Khare to Mera La pass/base camp (5,415 m). ~ 3-4 hours
Today we walk quite short but tough trek. During the trek we climb us to the Mera Glacier and walk through it for half an hour. On the way we can get the majestic view of Mera peak and little descend to reach Mera Base Camp. Explore the majestic view and rest overnight.
Day 10: Trek from Mera La to Mera High Camp (5,800 m).~ 3-4 hours
Today we trek to reach High Camp. Our most of the trail moves through Ice and snow. During the walk we can get the majestic view of Mt. Everest (8,848 m), Mt. Kanchenjunga (8,586 m), Mt. Cho Oyu (8,201 m), Mt Lhotse (8,516 m) and other tallest mountains. High camp situated base of the big rock; here we can feel quite warm and view of sunrise and sunset is spectacular from High Camp. Rest overnight.
Day 11: Trek from Mera High Camp to the Summit (6,476 m) and trek back to Mera Base Camp.~ 7-9 hours
Today is ultimate day for summit to the Mera Peak (6,476 m). We wake up early 1 or 2 am and have breakfast. After having breakfast we check or prepare our climbing gear and slowely and gradually climb up. If weather is favorable we will be in Mera peak around 4-6 hour. From the peak we can get the spectacular view of Mt. Everest, Mt. Ama Doblam, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Kanchenjunga, Mt Lobuche and other majestic high peaks of Mahalangur range. After spending 20-30 minutes in Peak we start descend to High Camp and then Base Camp of Mera Peak. You can celebrate your successful summit in Mera Peak and rest overnight.
Day 12: Trek from Mera La to Tangnag (4,350 m).~ 6-7 hours
Today we trek back to Tangnag. We descend through rocky path, on the way we can get the beautiful view of Inkhu valley and majestic Himalayas. Next we trek same way back to Tangnag and rest overnight.
Day 13: Trek from Tangnag to Tashing Dingma (3,600 m).~ 5 hours
We follow the trail along Inkhu River with the view of majestic peaks behind and beautiful valleys and landscapes in front of us. Next our continue walk lead us to Tashing Dingma and rest overnight.
Day 14: Trek from Tashing Dingma to Tuli Kharka (4,400 m).~ 5-6 hours
Today we trek back to Tashing Dingma. We walk through forest of rhododendron and oak. Next we ascend to the alpine area to reach Thuli Kharka and rest overnight.
Day 15: Trek from Tuli Kharka back to Lukla (2,860 m).~ 6-7 hours
Today is our last trek of Mera Peak climbing. we follow the trail and ascend to Zatrwa La Pass and descend to pass Chutangua village and an hour descend bring us Lukla. You can celebrate with your crew of successful trek and summit in Khumbu region. Prepare for tomorrow flight and rest overnight.
Day 16: Fly from Lukla to Kathmandu (1,400 m). ~ 25 minutes
Today after breakfast or lunch we fly from lukla all the way to Kathmandu. You are free to explore yourself the place that you missed before in Kathmandu valley and you can go shopping. Thamel is big market for handicraft. After shopping we will take you for farewell dinner in Nepali restaurant with cultural show.
Day 17: Farewell Friends!!!
Today after lunch we assist you to international airport for your safe departure from Nepal. Before your departure there will be small farewell program.
