Nar-Phu valley trekking is a newly opened trek in Nepal which was opened in 2003. This trek takes you to the remote villages of Nar and Phu which are inhabited by the Tibetans who had fled away to Nepal times ago. There are about 300 inhabitants in Nar- Phu valley. Nar- Phu valley is perfect trekking destination for those who want to explore more than Himalayas and undisturbed Tibetan culture of medieval Tibetan people. It takes you through high passes, gompas, glaciers, and remote cultural villages, forests covered with flowers, narrow canyon and many more. You will also get to visit famous monastery of Tashi Lha Khang where every year many Buddhist pilgrims visit to get blessings from Sonam Rinpoche.

We trek through Annapurna circuit route to reach ancient villages Nar-Phu. We can see many peaks above 7000 m from the valley as well as highland desertification another attraction of this package. Trekking to summer pasture, Ngoru kharka with fabulous view of Himlung (7,125 m) is wonderful. Nar-Phu valley can give opportunity to observe Tibetan unique culture and life style of higher region. In Phu village there is a famous Tashi Lhokang gompa which is famous pilgrimage for Buddhists. We can visit the alpine valley of Phu and climb Kang la pass (5,315 m) to see the view of Mt. Annapurna II (7,937 m), Mt. Gangapurna (7,455 m), Mt.Tilicho peak (7,134 m) and many other snowcapped peaks. Here we can visit Cholling gompa and see the view of Pisang peak (6,091 m), Manaslu and many more other peaks. Believed that Stone Age people lived in this cliff cave, archaeologists are researching about it.

Before 2003 very few trekkers came to visit these villages but now this destination is one of the famous trekking for explorers. This 20 to 25 days long trek starts all the way from Beshi Sahar from where we take a jeep to Khudi. From Khudi you trek up to Bahundanda then you will trek through beautiful pine forest in Marsyangdi river valley to enter Manang district. En route you will get the majestic view of the Himalayan like Annapurna II, Gangapurna, Tilicho peak, Pisang peak and others.
