Naya Kanga peak (5,844 m) is one of the popular peak climbing in Nepal. Naya Kanga located in Langtang region; which is very famous destination for trekking and peak climbing in Nepal. Langtang region offers splendid view of Himalayas in Nepal and Tibet. Easy access and availability of several scattered peaks makes Langtang region famous destinations for trekkers and mountaineers. To climb small peaks and passes we don’t need huge climbing experience, even trekkers can take a taste of climbing in Nepal. 

Naya Kanga peak (5,844 m) is standing to the west side of Ganja La Pass (5,122 m); which is adventurous and exciting Pass in Langtang region. Climbing to Naya Kanga and Ganja La Pass offers the panorama of Majestic Mountains in Nepal and Tibet. From the top of the Naya Kanga and Ganja La Pass climber get the magnificent view of Langshisa (6,370 m), Pemthang Ri (6,836 m), Shisapangma (8,046 m), Langtang Lirung (7,425 m), Langtang II (6,571 m), Pemthang Karpo Ri (6,830 m) and other many snow capped peaks. Normally, Naya Kanga climbers follow north ridge because East Ridge over a line on snow and ice. During Naya Kanga peak climbing trek climbers and trekkers walk through the ridge with dense forest at the gorge of the Langtang Khola. In Langtang region climbers will be not only part of the nature. Langtang region mostly inhabitant by Tamang and Tibetan so, tourists can be the part of the untouched culture and tradition of local community.

For Naya Kanga peak climbing we will cross the Langtang Khola below Kyangjin and steeply climb to the ridge of rhododendron and juniper forest. Trail takes pasture of Ngegang at 4,000 m elevation. We continue follow the trail through moraine to climb Ganja La Pass. We will pass glacier to reach eastern face of the Naya Kanga. We pass ice nose on the left which is only the technical part of this climbing. Next, the ridge line leads to east west summit ridge. From here summit is only 30 m high to ridge and climb carefully. It takes 5-7 hours from the high camp. After successful summit we climb back from same way and follow the Ganja La Helambu route. Next we will reach Kathmandu via Dhunche.

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,400 m).

Day 02: Visit your expedition member, initial brief about route and expedition and you are free for shopping in Kathmandu.

Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubeshi (1,610 m).~ 6-7 hours drive

Day 04: Trek from Syabrubeshi to Lama Hotel (2,480 m).~ 5-6 hours walk

Day 05: Trek from Lama Hotel to Langtang village (3,541 m) via Ghodatebala.~ 5-6 hours walk

Day 06: Trek from Langtang village to Kyanjin Gompa (3,900 m).~ 3-4 hours walk

Day 07: Acclimatization in Kyanjin Gompa.

Day 08: Trek from Kyanjin Gompa to Naya Khanga Base Camp (4,300 m).~ 5-6 hours walk

Day 09: Trek from Naya Kanga Base Camp to High Camp (4,950 m).~ 3-4 hours walk

Day 10: Summit in Naya Kanga (5,844 m) and trek back to Base Camp.~ 7-8 hours climb

Day 11: Trek from Base Camp to Kyanjin Gompa (3,900 m).~ 5-6 hours walk

Day 12: Trek from Kyanjin Gompa to Lama Hotel (2,480 m).~ 6-7 hours walk

More Information

Meals:
When you travel to the new place for your holiday, food is most concern part of travel. While, traveling with Yarsa treks, you can experience the delightful cuisine of typical Nepali food, continental food, Italian food, Chinese food and different international cuisine. You will be suggested by your guide for good food during your trip. During the trek do not order many dishes and waste food; they have to cater more trekkers before they run off stuck. It is very hard and takes week or more for caravan and porter to brings the food in these altitude places. You will take lunch in route side, breakfast and dinner will arrange in the same lodge/Tea house.

Drinking Water:
During the trek you can get the bottled water but it is hard to dispose plastic and it will be the big problem for environment. We will provide purified mineral water during trek. In tea house you can get bottle water and mineral water in additional cost. It will better to drink mineral water rather than bottled water.

Accommodations:
We provide you best touristic hotel in Kathmandu with best location. During the trek tea house is main accommodation for trekkers. A tea house is combination of lodge and restaurant. In the tea house lodge are fairly basic, some tea house you can get separate room but in the high altitude rooms are spare with two beds with blanket and little additional furniture.  There will be large dining room where you can get the warm by Bukhara stove. In the tea house there will be the solar electricity but these days most of the tea houses have electricity for charge Camera, Mobile phones and other small appliances.

Things to take:
This is very active trip we can’t stay in same place. You can take very light and necessary things. You will get porter he will carry maximum 30 kg it means 2 trekkers=1 porter. Porters are allowed to carry maximum 30 kg of your stuff. Porter will carry your necessary stuff in duffel bag.

Health & Fitness:
Yala Peak climbing is not much difficult but you should have good physical, stamina, positive energy for summit. You don’t need huge climbing experience but you need to know the knowledge of climbing equipments. Before the summit there will be the pre-ice climbing training; training will let you know how to use climbing equipments. For Yala peak climbing you needs to walk usually 5-7 hours of everyday and 7-8 hours in summit day. So, our advise you that you prepare yourself jogging or walking every day around 2 months before your trip. For Yala peak climbing you have to walk in high altitude and remote villages. For successful summit you must have potential will power, physical fitness, stamina and positivity inside you. You need to consult with doctor or let us know about your physical condition before your climbing trip.

Climbing:
During the trip we will provide you an experienced, English speaking and license holder climbing guide. For the main guide, assailant guide and necessary Sherpa crew we need to know your group size then we will define the crew member that you need for the climbing trip. We are concern about your safety so we will arrange the necessary staff and Sherpa for your trip; if anybody becomes ill during the trip we still go as planned. Let you know group should be 2-12 people for the successful climbing trip.

Suitable Time to Trek:
For Trekking to the high altitude we should concern about the weather condition. Autumn (Sept-Nov) and spring (March-May) is the best season for trekking in Himalayas. Trekking in summer and Monsoon (June-Aug) is affected by rain. You can also trek in winter but tempters could be most harsh for most trekkers.

Important notes:
If you’re confused to pack up your necessary things just see in the check list tab. Bring light and necessary things. You will need medium size bag to carry your daily usable stuff. The weather is subject to change in high altitude so layered clothing is recommended throughout the trek.

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,400 m).
Today we will receive you from international airport of Kathmandu and assist you to hotel. After rest and refreshed you can visit around Thamel and rest overnight.

Day 02: Visit your expedition member and prepare for trip.
Today you will visit your crew members and initial brief about route and expedition.  We will prepare your permit card for trekking and climbing. After brief you are free for shopping in Kathmandu. Prepare for tomorrow and rest overnight.

Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubeshi (1,610 m).~ 6-7 hours drive
Today we will take scenic drive through the foothills of mountains. We drive through terraced fields, green valleys of Trishuli, small villages and view stations. During the drive we can get the magnificent view of mountains. We will teke scenery view from Dhumnche and descend to reach Syabrubeshi. Explore around and rest overnight.   

Day 04: Trek from Syabrubeshi to Lama Hotel (2,480 m).~ 5-6 hours walk
Today is our first walk of this trip. We start follow Langtang Khola and walk through the dense forest of rhododendron, which is located inside of Langtang National Park. Trail passes Rimche with view of Ganesh Himal. Next, trail ascends to Lama Hotel. Explore around and rest overnight.

Day 05: Trek from Lama Hotel to Langtang village (3,541 m) via Ghodatebala.~ 5-6 hours walk
After breakfast we walk through the forest and follow the Langtang Khola. When trail ascend high altitude we can see the alpine rather than trees line. During the walk we can get the spectacular view of Langtang Lirung (7,227 m) and other snow capped peaks. Next we will pass Ghodatebala village and reach Langtang village. Explore around and rest overnight.

Day 06: Trek from Langtang village to Kyanjin Gompa (3,900 m).~ 3-4 hours walk
Today early in the morning we will visit around and see the culture, lifestyle and tradition of Tamang and Tibetan. After breakfast we follow the Trans Himalayan route from ancient period. After leaving tree line behind us we walk through alpine and reach to Mani wall (biggest Mani wall of Nepal). Next, short walk will lead us to Kyanjin Gompa. Explore around and rest overnight.

Day 07: Acclimatization in Kyanjin Gompa.
Today we will visit the monastery and ascend to the Chorkari Ri (5,050 m). Explore around and observe the lifestyle and tradition of local people and rest overnight.

Day 08: Trek from Kyanjin Gompa to Naya Khanga Base Camp (4,300 m).~ 5-6 hours walk
Today we descend for 20 minutes to Langtang Khola and cross the suspension bridge. Trail ascends to the hill to reach Nyengang Kharka. We will walk through the shrubs to the both side with the majestic view of Langtang Lirung (7,227 m). Next, we reach Nyengang Kharka known as Base camp of Naya Kanga. Explore around and rest overnight.

Day 09: Trek from Naya Kanga Base Camp to High Camp (4,950 m).~ 3-4 hours walk
Today we walk over the trail that goes from the glacier. We walk with the view of Langtang Lirung and its glacier. Trail continues goes up to the best site for camping. Crew will set your camp and rest overnight at high camp.

Day 10: Summit in Naya Kanga (5,844 m) and trek back to Base Camp.~ 7-8 hours climb
Wake up at 2:00 AM early in the morning and have some food, coffee and check your climbing gears. We must finish our summit before noon because at the noon strong wind blow at the peak, it will create obstacle for us. We will make ascend to the summit by guidance by our recommended climbing exports. Once you ascend to the top of the Naya Kanga peak you will rewarded by spectacular view of Dorje Lakpa, Langtang Lirung, Pemthang Karpo, Gangchenpo and other peaks. After spend some time at the top we descend following the same trail back to Nyengang Kharaka and rest overnight.

Day 11: Trek from Base Camp to Kyanjin Gompa (3,900 m).~ 5-6 hours walk
We walk through the scrubs and descend from the ridge. Trail leads us to tha Langtang Khola and ascends to reach Kyanjin Gompa. Visit around, intimate with locals and rest overnight.

Day 12: Trek from Kyanjin Gompa to Lama Hotel (2,480 m).~ 6-7 hours walk
Today we walk through the Langtang Village, forest and small villages to reach Lama Hotel. Before we reach Lama Hotel we will take rest at Ghodatebala. Next we will be Lama Hotel. Rest overnight.

Day 13: Trek from Lama Hotel to Syabrubeshi (1,610 m).~ 5-6 hours walk
Today is our last walk of this trip. We descend through forest and follow the Langtang Khola. Trail moves through gorge of the Langtan Khola and reach Syabrubeshi. Rest overnight at Syabribeshi.

Day 14: Drive from Syabrubeshi to Kathmandu (1,400 m).~ 6-7 hours drive
Today we drive back from Sybrubeshi to Kathmandu. We drive through Dhunche, Bidur and best hill station Kakani. Next we will reach hotel. Rest overnight.

Day 15: Full Day sightseeing in Kathmandu city.
Today we will visit some UNESCO world heritage sites such Swayambhunath (Monkey temple), Boudhanath and Hindus holy temple Pashupatinath. After visit sightseeing places Yarsa treks will arrange farewell dinner in Nepali restaurant with the several cultural shows. Enjoy the singing and dancing program and rest overnight at hotel

Day 16: Final Departure!!!
Unfortunately, we end our service and assist you to International airport for your final departure.
