Rock climbing in Nepal is one of the most challenging adventure sport. This Himalayan Kingdom is ultimate destination for this challenging adventure sports. Within 200 kilometers of width of the country the elevation ranges from 65 meter from the sea level up to 8,848 meter above the sea level in Himalaya. Some of the famous rock climbing spot in Nepal are Nagarjun Forest, Hattiban, Nagarkot which is around and inside Kathmandu and other are Bimal Nagar in Bandipur and Namche Bazzar in Sagarmatha region. Rock climbing is physically as well as mentally demanding which tests the quality of climbers like Balance, agility and strength.

Rock climbing in Nagarjuna Forest reserve is best for all kind of climbers, they may be the beginners, intermediate of professional. 30 minutes of drive from Thamel to Nagarjuna Forest and about 30 minutes of hiking from the entrance gate of forest will take you to Rock climbing spot.  Hattiban rock climbing spot is located on the way to Dakshinkali which is one of the Holy temple of Hindu Goddess Kali. This climbing site is best for professional climbers offering top grade climbing options. 1 hour drive from Thamel towards south direction and half an hour hiking from the road will take you to rock climbing spot at Hattiban.

About Rock climbing

In Rock climbing you will climb across and up basically natural rocks formation in Nepal, reaching the summit of the rock formation. For climbing main things you need to learn is to use your hand to hold your own weight in order to make balance. The sport is quite dangerous as it is more challenging. One has to gain proper knowledge of climbing techniques and how to use special climbing equipment for safety and completion of sport.

Day 1: Today early in the morning we leave from Kathmandu at 9:30 am all the way to Nagarjun hill.  After a short drive we hike for 45min and then do the adventurous Rock Climbing Spot. We commence various activities from sightseeing to hiking and then depart from Nagarjun all the way back to Kathmandu. Rest overnight.
