Gosainkunda Lake is one of the most religious and famous place of pilgrimage site situated at 4,380 m above from sea level. Every year in Janai purnima thousands of Hindu pilgrims come here for holy bath, believe that sins are relief after taking bath in this scared lake. During this trek we can get the majestic view of highest mountains around the lake.
Gosainkunda is one of the short trekking destination located near to Kathmandu valley. Northern edge of valley offers the majestic view of Langtang range which offers wide range of opportunity to explore Gosainkunda lake and Langtang region. Gosainkunda trek is the mixture of culture and natural beauty however, it provides cultural experience in high altitude. The trajectory encounters dense forest with diversity of flora and fauna, it surprises the trekkers with beauty of destination situated near the capital of Nepal. Gosainkunda is known as spiritual landmark of Hinduism and Buddhism and holds significance of mythology. During the hiking you will visit main three lake such as Bhairav lake, Swarswati lake and Gosainkunda lake, in addition region will offers the splendid view of Gosainkunda ranges. It is probably the only trek which leads trekkers more than 4,000 m high elevation within short period.
6 Days Short Gosainkunda trek driving from Kathmandu to Dhunche and trek to Sing Gompa. From Sing Gompa we trek to scared lake Gosainkunda and explore around. After visiting Gosainkunda trail back to Dhunche via Sing Gompa and drive to Kathmandu. This Short Gosaikunda Trek is formatted for those, who don't have enough time, low budget and physically fit to complete this 6 days trek.

More Information
Meals:
When you travel to the new place for your holiday, food is most concern part of travel. While, traveling with Yarsa treks, you can experience the delightful cuisine of typical Nepali food, continental food, Italian food, Chinese food and different international cuisine. You will be suggested by your guide for good food during your trip. During the trek do not order many dishes and waste food, they have to cater more trekkers before they run off stuck. It is very hard and takes week or more for caravan and porter to brings the food in these places. You will take lunch in route side, breakfast and dinner will arrange in the same lodge/Tea house.
Drinking Water:
During the trek you can get the bottled water but it is hard to dispose plastic and it will be the big problem for environment. We will provide purified mineral water during trek. In tea house you can get bottle water and mineral water in additional cost. It will better to drink mineral water rather than bottled water.
Accommodations:
We provide you best touristic hotel in Kathmandu/Pokhara with best location. During the trek tea house is main accommodation for trekkers. A tea house is combination of lodge and restaurant. In the tea house lodge are fairly basic, some tea house you can get separate room but in the high altitude rooms are spare with two beds with blanket and little additional furniture. There will be large dining room where you can get the warm by Bukhara stove. In the tea house there will be the solar electricity but these days most of the tea houses have electricity for charge Camera, Mobile phones and other small appliances.
Things to take:
This is very active trip we can’t stay in same place. You can take very light and necessary things. You will get porter he will carry 30 kg it means 2 trekkers=1 porter. Porters are allowed to carry 30 kg of your stuff. Porter will carry your necessary stuff in duffel bag.

Health & Fitness:
These treks are some of moderate and some of strenuous, passionate trekkers should have ability to walk for 4-7 hours a day. Trekking to the high altitude is more challenging than the low altitude. To complete the trip we have good health, average physical fitness, passionate, confidence, determination and positive attitude. If you have past hiking experience or exercising habits it will be the better for your trek. If you have pre-existing health problem such as lung, heart and other diseases it is better to consult with your doctor or inform Yarsa treks before booking the trip.
Suitable Time to Trek:
For Trekking to the high altitude we should concern about the weather condition. Autumn (Sept-Nov) and spring (March-May) is the best season for trekking in Himalayas. Trekking in summer and Monsoon (June-Aug) is affected by rain. You can also trek in winter but tempters could be most harsh for most trekkers.

Important notes:
If you’re confused to pack up your necessary things just see in the check list tab. Bring light and necessary things. You will need medium size bag to carry your daily usable stuff. The weather is subject to change in high altitude so layered clothing is recommended throughout the trek.

Day 01: Drive from Kathmandu to Dhunche (1,764 m).~ 7-8 hours drive
Today early in the morning we drive from Kathmandu to Dhunche. We drive through foothills of Langtang region, on the way we pass through Kakani (famous hill station near Kathmandu) with the spectacular view of green valleys, far Himalayas view and dense forest. This route offers magnificent view of Trishuli valleys, crops fields and mountains view. When we reach Dhunche we will explore around and see the magnificent view of sunset. Rest overnight.
Day 02: Trek from Dhunche to Sing Gompa (3,580 m).~ 5-6 hours walk
Today we walk from Dhunche to reach Sing Gompa. Trail descends to downhill and we will cross the river. After crossing river and trail gently descend through forest then gradually ascend to Deurali; which is small settlement of Tamang community. After taking rest we ascend through forest with the view of mountains then you will reach Chandan Bari called Sing Gompa. Here you can visit cheese factory and get the spectacular view of mountains. Rest overnight.
Day 03: Trek from Sing Gompa to Gosainkunda (4,380 m).~ 5-6 hours walk
Trail gradually goes up hill via Lauribinayak with the view of Langtang Lirung, Huinchuli, Manaslu region, Ganesh himal and Tibetan peaks which are highlight of this adventure treks. Next, we will reach Gosaikunda Lake, visit around and rest overnight.
Day 04: Trek from Gosaikunda to Sing Gompa (3,580 m).~ 5-6 hours walk
Today early in the morning visit another two lakes Bhairav Kunda and Saraswati Kunda. After taking breakfast we trek downhill via Lauribinayak through forest of rhododendron and pine with the view of giant Himalayas. Rest overnight at Chandan Bari.
Day 05: Trek from Sing Gompa to Dhunche (1,764 m).~ 5-6 hours walk
After breakfast trail descend via pine, rhododendron and bamboo forest to reach Deurali. After lunch trail descend through dense forest and cross the river. Next, final ascend will lead us to Dhunche. Explore the culture and lifestyle of Tamang community and rest overnight.
Day 06: Drive from Dhunche to Kathmandu (1,400 m).~ 7-8 hours drive
after breakfast we will drive to Kathmandu through foothills, terraced fields and small highway town. After taking lunch we drive through Kakani see the view of sunset and drive to hotel in Kathmandu. Yarsa treks will arrange dinner in Nepali restaurant with cultural shows. Here yarsa treks will end service with you please give your feedback because it will help us to improve service for guests.
