Siklis trek is similar as Royal trek which leads you to the corner of Annapurna conservation area. This trajectory explore the natural beauty and cultural values in exciting manners for visitors while, visiting Siklis village trekkers will be surprised to see the delightful service and hospitality of local community. During the trek we can visit or be acquainted with the Gurung and Magar inhabitants who have great impact to secure the cultural values and their typical lifestyle in Nepal. Gurung community is also known as warrior, serving in Nepal, Britain and Indian as a Gorkhali.

 Trekking in Nepal precisely, is more exciting to see the splendid views of Mt. Annapurna (8,091 m), Machhapuchhre (6,993 m), Dhaulagiri (8,167 m) and other snowcapped peaks in Annapurna region. The hiking explorer can listen to the bird chirping, which improvise exciting in exotic peaceful environment. Mostly, trekking routes in Nepal pass through dense forests of rhododendron, alpine and several ethnic community to encounter wonderlands of Annapurna region. Siklis trek is suitable for those trekkers who can’t access to high altitudes and offers the mid hilly treasure of Annapurna region with average elevation. During the trail in Sikilis village you can feel the peace because this route is not much crowded as other trekking routes of Annapurna region also provide life time experience of typical trek in Nepal.

Likewise, the trek starts from Pokhara with the short drive to Begnash Lake and trek to Bijaya Khola same as 8 Days Annapurna Royal trekking package. We trek through different cultural and ethnic villages where we can see their lifestyles, traditional customs and cultures.The trail passes through Lamakhet to reach Siklis village. Siklis village is one of the oldest Gurung villages where globetrotter can observe local culture with the phenomenal view of mountains in Himalayas region. After exploration of traditional village trail you to Neuli Kharka known as forest camp and the next village is Ghale Gaon. After spending time at Ghale Gaun we trek to Hyangja then drive for 3 hours to reach the ending point Pokhara and we drive back to Kathmandu.

Day 07: Trek to Forest camp (2,200 m).~ 5-6 hours

More Information

Meals:
When you travel to the new place for your holiday, food is the most concerned part of travel. While, traveling with Yarsa treks, you can experience the delightful cuisine of typical Nepali food, continental food, Italian food, Chinese food and different international cuisines. You will be suggested by your guide for good food during your trip. During the trek do not order many dishes and waste food as they have to cater to more trekkers before they run off stock. It is very hard and takes a week or more for caravan and porters to bring the food in these places. You will take lunch in route side, breakfast and dinner will be arranged in the same lodge/Tea house.

Drinking Water:
 During the trek you can get the bottled water but it is hard to dispose plastic and it will be the big problem for environment. We will provide purified mineral water during trek. In tea houses you can get bottled water and mineral water in additional cost. It will be better to drink mineral water rather than bottled water.

Accommodations:
We provide you best touristic hotel in Kathmandu/ Pokhara with best location. During the trek tea house is main accommodation for trekkers. A tea house is combination of lodge and restaurant. In the tea house lodges are fairly basic, in some tea houses you can get separate room but in the high altitude rooms are spared with two beds with blankets and little additional furniture.  There will be large dining room where you can get the warmth by Bukhara stove. In the tea houses there will be solar electricity but these days most of the tea houses have electricity for charging camera, mobile phones and other small appliances.

Things to take:
This is very active trip we can’t stay in same place. You can take very light and necessary things. You will get a porter who  will carry 30 kg which means 2 trekkers=1 porter. Porters are allowed to carry 30 kg of your stuff. Porters will carry your necessary stuff in a duffel bag.

Altitude Map & Route Map:

Health & Fitness:
These treks are some of moderate and some of strenuous type. Passionate trekkers should have ability to walk for 4-7 hours a day. Trekking to the high altitude is more challenging than the low altitude. To complete the trip we should have good health, average physical fitness, passion, confidence, determination and positive attitude. If you have past hiking experience or exercising habits it will be the better for your trek. If you have pre-existing health problems such as lungs, heart and other diseases, it is better to consult with your doctor or inform Yarsa treks before booking the trip.

Suitable Time to Trek:
For trekking to the high altitude we should concern about the weather condition. Autumn (Sept-Nov) and Spring (March-May) are the best seasons for trekking in Himalayas. Trekking in Summer and Monsoon (June-Aug) is affected by rain. You can also trek in winter but temperatures could be  harsher for most trekkers.

Important Notes:
If you’re confused to pack up your necessary things just see in the check list tab. Bring light and necessary things. You will need medium size bag to carry your daily usable stuff. The weather is subject to change in high altitude so layered clothing is recommended throughout the trek.

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,400 m).
Our airport representative will receive you from International airport and assist you to the hotel. After getting rest and refreshed we take you to the dinner in Nepali restaurant with cultural shows. 

Day 02: Sightseeing in Kathmandu.
Today we take you for sightseeing of UNESCO world heritage sites such as Swayambhunath, Boudhanath and Pashupatinath. After exploration of heritage sites we drop you to hotel. Prepare for tomorrow trip check your necessary thing and rest overnight.

Day 03: Drive or fly to Pokhara (835 m).~ 30 minutes in flight or drive 6-7 hours
Today after breakfast we drive to Pokhara. We follow the Trishuli River which is very famous for white water adventure sport. We pass several small towns such as Mungling, Dumre and many green valleys. Next we will be in Pokhara and we will spend evening with the spectacular view of Phewa Lake and rest overnight at touristic hotel.

Day 04: Short drive to Begnash Lake and trek to Kailashthan (1,370 m).~ trek 4-5 hours
Today we start our trek. Firstly we drive to Begnash Lake and start ascends to Kailashthan. We pass through several villages and forests with the view of Machhapuchre (6,993 m) and green valleys. After some ascend and descend lead us to Kailashthan. We explore around and rest overnight.

Day 05: Trek to Lamakhet (1,680 m).~ 5 hours
Today after breakfast we start trekking to Lamakhet. We pass through terraced field and walk through rhododendron forest and small villages of Gurung, Magar and Brahimin. On the way we can see their lifestyle and traditional customs. Next we will reach to the Lamakhet. Explore around and rest overnight.

Day 06: Trek to Siklis (1,980 m).~ 5-6 hours
Today we walk to reach one of the oldest and traditional village of Annapurna regions the Siklis village. In this village most of the inhabitant are from Gurung community. After ascending and descending brings us to oldest and traditional villages of Gurung community Siklis village. We explore the traditional village and see the spectacular view of Machhapuchre, Annapurna and Dhaulagiri. See the traditional shows and rest overnight.

Day 07: Trek to Forest camp (2,200 m).~ 5-6 hours
Today we trek to reach highest point of this trek. We gradually ascend and pass several Gurung villages. Next short descend and walk through terraced field. We ascend to reach Forest camp known as Neuli Kharka. Forest camp is surrounded by beautiful rhododendron forest. These all forest turns in to garden when rhododendron blooms. We explore around and rest overnight.

Day 08: Trek to Ghale Gaon (2,000 m).~ 6-7 hours
Today we walk one of the longest trails of this trek. We walk from Forest camp and pass through different villages with the stunning view of Machhapuchre (fishtail). After long walk we reach another cultural village Ghale Gaon. We will explore around and see the stunning sunset view and rest overnight. 

Day 09: Trek to Hyamgja (1,070 m) and drive to Pokhara (835 m).~ 3-4 hours trek and drive for 3 hours
Today we are going to walk our last trek. Today we mostly descend our trail to reach Hyamgja. After reaching Hyamgja we take drive for 3 hours to reach Pokhara.

Day 10: Sightseeing in Pokhara (835 m).
Today we will explore the beauty of Pokhara . we will visit Phewa Lake, Mahindra cave, Guptshowar cave, world peace stupa and other beautiful places. After exploration of Pokhara you can spend your evening at lakeside and enjoy it. 

Day 11: Drive or fly back to Kathmandu.
Today we drive 211 km to Kathmandu along the Trishuli River. You can include the whitewater adventure During the trek because Pokhara is famous for different adventure sports.
