Yala Peak (5,550 m.) is one of the famous trekking peak that lies in Langtang region of Nepal. Yala Peak climbing is a non-technical and easy peak which is categorized in F (Facile/easy) in Alpine grading system. Yala peak climbing is often done as a warm up for Naya Kanga Peak Climbing which is near to it. Yala peak climbing is perfect blend of adventure, culture and scenic trek in Nepal. Langtang region which is easily accessible and very near to Kathmandu the capital city is one of the best region to explore. c The Mountains like Sishapangma (8,046 m.), Gangchempo (6,388 m.) and other Langtang Himal range looks astonishingly beautiful from the Summit of the Peak.

You will first take a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Syabru Bensi from where your trek starts. From Syabru Bensi you trek through Langtang Khola passing by the forest of Oak and Rhododendron, to reach beautiful village –Lama Hotel. From Lama Hotel you will pass through beautiful meadows of Ghora Tabela, lush forests and monasteries to reach Langtang village. From there trekking through Kyangjing gompa enjoying beautiful mountain scenery of Dorje larkpa, Shishapangma, Ganchenpo, Naya Kang, Langtang Lirung and Tserko Ri you will reach Yala Peak Base Camp (4,600 m.). From the base camp you will summit to Yala peak. While trekking back you will visit turquoise and holy Lake of Gosainkunda. Gosainkunda is considered as one of the holy lake and every year thousands of pilgrims visit the lake to offer homage to Deity Shiva and Parvati.

Day 06: Trek from Langtang village to Kyanjing Gompa (3,900 m).~ 2-3 hours

Day 07: Acclimatization day in Kyanjing Gompa.~ 4 hours trek to kyanjing Ri

More Information

Meals:
When you travel to the new place for your holiday, food is most concern part of travel. While, traveling with Yarsa treks, you can experience the delightful cuisine of typical Nepali food, continental food, Italian food, Chinese food and different international cuisine. You will be suggested by your guide for good food during your trip. During the trek do not order many dishes and waste food; they have to cater more trekkers before they run off stuck. It is very hard and takes week or more for caravan and porter to brings the food in these altitude places. You will take lunch in route side, breakfast and dinner will arrange in the same lodge/Tea house.

Drinking Water:
During the trek you can get the bottled water but it is hard to dispose plastic and it will be the big problem for environment. We will provide purified mineral water during trek. In tea house you can get bottle water and mineral water in additional cost. It will better to drink mineral water rather than bottled water.

Accommodations:
We provide you best touristic hotel in Kathmandu with best location. During the trek tea house is main accommodation for trekkers. A tea house is combination of lodge and restaurant. In the tea house lodge are fairly basic, some tea house you can get separate room but in the high altitude rooms are spare with two beds with blanket and little additional furniture.  There will be large dining room where you can get the warm by Bukhara stove. In the tea house there will be the solar electricity but these days most of the tea houses have electricity for charge Camera, Mobile phones and other small appliances.

Things to take:
This is very active trip we can’t stay in same place. You can take very light and necessary things. You will get porter he will carry maximum 30 kg it means 2 trekkers=1 porter. Porters are allowed to carry maximum 30 kg of your stuff. Porter will carry your necessary stuff in duffel bag.

Health & Fitness:
Yala Peak climbing is not much difficult but you should have good physical, stamina, positive energy for summit. You don’t need huge climbing experience but you need to know the knowledge of climbing equipments. Before the summit there will be the pre-ice climbing training; training will let you know how to use climbing equipments. For Yala peak climbing you needs to walk usually 5-7 hours of everyday and 7-8 hours in summit day. So, our advise you that you prepare yourself jogging or walking every day around 2 months before your trip. For Yala peak climbing you have to walk in high altitude and remote villages. For successful summit you must have potential will power, physical fitness, stamina and positivity inside you. You need to consult with doctor or let us know about your physical condition before your climbing trip.

Climbing:
During the trip we will provide you an experienced, English speaking and license holder climbing guide. For the main guide, assailant guide and necessary Sherpa crew we need to know your group size then we will define the crew member that you need for the climbing trip. We are concern about your safety so we will arrange the necessary staff and Sherpa for your trip; if anybody becomes ill during the trip we still go as planned. Let you know group should be 2-12 people for the successful climbing trip.

Suitable Time to Trek:
For Trekking to the high altitude we should concern about the weather condition. Autumn (Sept-Nov) and spring (March-May) is the best season for trekking in Himalayas. Trekking in summer and Monsoon (June-Aug) is affected by rain. You can also trek in winter but tempters could be most harsh for most trekkers.

Important notes:
If you’re confused to pack up your necessary things just see in the check list tab. Bring light and necessary things. You will need medium size bag to carry your daily usable stuff. The weather is subject to change in high altitude so layered clothing is recommended throughout the trek.

Day 01: Welcome to Kathmandu (1,400 m).
Upon your arrival our airport representative assists you from airport to hotel. After getting rest and refreshed you can visit colorful market of Thamel and rest overnight.

Day 02: Sightseeing in Kathmandu Valley.
Today we take you for sightseeing and cultural tour around Kathmandu valley. During the tour you will visit UNESCO world heritage sites such as Swayambhunath, Boudhanath and Pashupatinath. After visit some touristic sites you are free shopping and preparation for tomorrow trek and rest overnight.

Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubeshi (1,610 m).
Today we head towards our destination and drive 145 km for 6-7hours from Kathmandu to Syabru Bensi (1,610 m). We head to the north from Kathmandu driving through foothills and ridgeline to Syabrubeshi. Driving along the Trishuli River you can catch the magnificent view of Ganesh himal, green valleys and terraced field. Explore the around and rest overnight.

Day 04: Trek from Syabrubeshi to Lama Hotel (2,480 m).
Today we are going to walk for 5-6hours from Syabru Bensi to Lama Hotel (2,480m). We start our trek by crossing Bhote Koshi and follow the Langtang Khola. Trail gradually climbs up to Bamboo and pass through land slide. Afterward, trail leadsyou to Rimche; situated at the edge of the Langtang village. Next little walk brings us to Lama Hotel. Explore panorama points, see the cultural custom of Tamang people and rest overnight.

Day 05: Trek from Lama Hotel to Langtang Village (3,541 m).
Today we walk for 5hours from lama hotel to Langtang Village (3,541 m). We trek through rhododendron forest and Pass Ghoda Tabela. From here trail gradually moves through grazing Yaks and we will reach beautiful village Langtang. From Langtang village you can get the panorama of Langtang Himal, Langtang Lirung, Naya Kang and other snow capped peaks. Explore the view of mountains, see the culture of Tamang and Tibetan and rest overnight.

Day 06: Trek from Langtang village to Kyanjing Gompa (3,900 m).
Today we trek for 4hours from Langtang village to Kyanjing Gompa (3,900 m). Today is shortest walk to Kyangjing Gompa; situated on the lap of the Langtang Lirung. We pass Mani wall (probably the biggest Mani wall of Nepal) and Yak posture. This route way famous from ancient period known as Trans Himalaya route. Explore around and rest overnight.

Day 07: Acclimatization day in Kyanjing Gompa.
Today we explore Kyanjing Gompa exploration and acclimatization day. We visit the Cheese factory, old monasteries and ascend to Kyanjing Ri to see the spectacular 3600 mountain view around us. Here your guide will teach you how to use climbing tools during summit day. Rest overnight.

Day 08: Trek from Kyanjing Gompa to Yala Base Camp (4,800 m).
Today we trek for 5hours from Kyanjing Gompa to Yala peak Base camp (4,800 m). We walk through rocky glacier with the view of Langtang Himal, Langtang Lirung, Naya Kang, Yala peak, Tserko Ri and other show capped peak. Our crew set tent and cook will make food for you. Rest overnight.

Day 09: Preparation or Training day in Base Camp (optional).
Today your guide will teach you some skills for climbing and teach you how to use the climbing tools such as rope, ice-axe, ascender, Harness, crampons etc. Your climbing guide will take you to small passes to teach you the climbing skills. Yala peak is not much technical climbing but it is better to know the skills before climbing. Rest overnight at Base Camp.

Day 10: Summit day to Yala Peak (5,732 m).
Today we summit Yala Peak (5,732 meters) and then trek back to Kyanjing Gompa. Early in the morning we start climbing to the peak. While, reaching to the top of the Yala peak spectacular panorama of Mt. Langtang Lirung (7,227 m), Naya Kang peak(5,844 m), Tserko Ri peak (5,033 m), Mt. Sishapangma (8,013 m), Mt. Dorje Lakpa (6,966 m), Ganchenpo (6,387 m) and other snow capped peaks are welcome us. Spending 20 minutes of time on the top of the peak we descend to reach Kyanjing Gompa and rest overnight.

Day 11: Trek back to Lama Hotel (2,480 m).
Today we trek for 5-6hours back to Lama Hotel (2,480 m). We descend through rock path and pass Langtang village to Reach Ghoda Tabela. After leaving Ghoda Tabela we walk through dense forest of bamboo and rhododendron then we will reach Lama Hotel and rest overnight.

Day 12: Trek to Syabrubeshi (1,610 m).
Today is our last trek of this trip. We trek for 5hours all the way to Syabru Besi (1,610 m). We fallow the Langtang river, walk through forest and cross the bridge of Bhote Koshi to reach Syabrubeshi. Explore around, intimate with local and rest overnight.

Day 13: Drive back to Kathmandu (1,400 m).
Today we drive 145 km for 6-7hours all the way back to Kathmandu. We drive same way through foothills, valleys and ridge line to reach Kathmandu. Enjoy the evening and rest overnight.

Day 14: Leisure day in Kathmandu.
Today you can visit places that you missed to visit before and you can go for shopping in Thamel (famous and big market for handicraft) and buy some memorial things from Nepal. After shopping we will take you for farewell dinner in Nepali typical restaurant with various cultural show.

Day 15: Farewell Friends!!!
Today after lunch we assist you to airport for your further departure. There will be small farewell program before your departure. Hope this is not your last time in Nepal. We are always ready to welcome you in Nepal for explore the untouched natural beauty and unique culture.
